The share price may just be lower as the markets are having a bad day. BUR always seems to suffer more when this happens.

Seems like the £11m purchase was not Gladstone. Would have appeared on the short tracker by now.

It would be excellent news if this purchase was from Gladstone reducing their short. I believe they have been controlling the share price in recent times.

Knuttie, I have done exactly the same as you, sold some shares in BMN at 14p & bought BUR. The reason is that I believe BUR will climb quicker than BMN. My plan is then to sell BUR & re-invest in BMN. I believe many long term holders have done similar things which has played its part in reducing BMN's share price, which is unfortunate .

Libero, I am only invested in 2 shares currently, BMN & BUR. Despite your comments below, I believe BUR is as undervalued as BMN. Anyway, enough of this, carry on your excellent BMN posts.

I cannot get my head around the owners of a business deliberately wanting a lower share price. The only explanation I can see is that they or connected parties want to purchase shares on the cheap. It shows that the owners could not care less about its shareholders.

The only good news is the lower the share price, the more shares I can transfer into my ISA. I remember saying the same thing this time last year !!

I stand to be corrected, but I estimate that BMN have a minimum of $80m in cash currently. So, even after Vanchem is paid, it should have over $50m. With a market capitalisation of only £300m, it seems extremely under valued.

To potentially safeguard thousands of jobs, I'm sure the EU will find a way around it. A bit like banks having to sell parts of their business within a certain time frame.

If Fosun buy Thomas Cook for say 30p (£500m approx) with a promise to sell the airline in a year, it seems like they would be getting a bargain, as they can still use the tax losses of £1.3 billion, or am I missing something ?

This is extremely positive. SP Angel have reduced their assumed vanadium price & still increased their target share price.

Thanks Alfa, great stuff. I remember one of the shorters last week stating that he thought the price would drop to 28p. I wonder if that was a signal.

For info, I bought 65k shares in my ISA on Thursday & sold 65k later in the day in my investment account at a similar price.

Ophidian, when do you believe we will reach your price target of £10.89 as I may start calculating some expenditure ?

I would also like to thank Alfa, BBN, NickD, Ophidian & all the other excellent contributors. When I first bought the shares 5 years ago, I had a price target of 4p !!! The rest is history & I have no plans to sell soon. Thanks.
