Until we hear some concrete news all speculation one way or the other is idle. It's just monkeychatter. Presumably any news will involve legal proceedings and govenment departments neither of which are renowned for being speedy. I think that all we can do is wait and see what actually happens.

Through the month yet. Nothing happening for another week or so according to ibeenwaiting or whatever his name is. So if nothing happens by the end of the month then I think we may have lost this but let's wait and see. Maybe he may tell us more behind the scenes info when the time is right, I'd be interested to know the full story.

If nothing much is happening in the first two weeks of January then the last two sound like there could be a few dramatic developments. I guess everyone needs to chill out a bit and wait for the next developments. I hope that justice wins the day here. The wisdom of the community, the connections of DB and the will of the shareholders all are things in our favour. The weakest link is the lawyers. As a profession I have little faith or trust in them. But let's hope it all comes good.

Tells me that the Ramos incident may well work to our advantage. Why would someone take on the role and then quit so soon afterward? Where do Rio stand in all this? What information was he privy too having become a director that he wasn't privy to before? I can only imagine that he left because he felt his position was in some way untenable. Something changed his mind. What was that something? He knows something, and that something was enough to make him quit. It must be quite a big something whatever it is. Maybe we'll find out soon?

They've got some cheek going on about how their rns's are the official ones and as such fully compliant with Aim rules. This after releasing a statement to the Peruvian press before notifying shareholders.

Will look after its own I think. How can a sale go ahead if the Peruvian government steps in. I'm sure pinto isn't exactly popular with the authorities. They know who and what he is. This sale can't go ahead I think. This is so obviously wrong and counter to the interests of their people that they will use every means necessary to stop the sale. I think this scandal is going to reverberate at the very top of Peru's authorities and government. So pinto's lawyers can stick that in their pipe and smoke it. That's my fantasy anyway.

Yes I read that post on ikn too. The first thing I did was check I didn't have the same nomad on any other companies I'm invested in! At the moment all I can say is that a messy situation just got a whole lot messier. Whether this scandal proves to be to our advantage is all down to how well the lawyers can find a way out of it. It's all in the detail, so we'll have to see how much mileage Diego's side can get out of it. It certainly looks like an open and shut case. But then so did a 90% vote against the existing board. Certainly gives room for optimism though. But after recent events, nothing would surprise me.

That's good to hear. I think this bunch of crooks would get little sympathy from the authorities in Peru. Hopefully the same can be said of the authorities in Canada, if they haven't list all sense of justice.
