I get what your saying and anything is possible but cgp are the ones who have tried to make out there is some background chatter going on regarding the possibility it might happen.
I don't see this happenig as cgp are looking desperate to sell and this will be seen as weakness by the likes of bhp who are in no rush.
As for us we are in no rush as long as we meet our 2025 production target ;-)

Of course if I was a major holder in cgp I'd like to do nothing and see solg get taken out for £2 and let bhp/ncm develop 3 tier 1 mines and sell our shares for £5 equivalent in say 5 years time.

Rcgl why would bhp team up with cgp.
Let's face it they will become a headache later for which they receive nothing from that relationship.
As for solg we have brought the discoveries to where they are now with Bhp/Ncm and developed relationships in Ecuador all as we promised for the funding they provided.
I don't buy Bhp wanting us out the way but time will tell.
They have an opportunity to get rid of cgp now and then deal with solg direct thus keeping overall price down.
Imo of course.

Red, while I agree about Irwin being made to look stupid(although still a way to go) you have to feel for Pi there who are going to get shafted if this pans out like we think for them.

I still get the feeling lots sitting on the sidelines and would like to see 20m+ traded for consecutive days.

Red, my thoughts exactly although they are struggling to keep it down.
News and anticipation would of seen much quicker rises in the past even if it was just the trading crew moving in.
Slow and steady maybe the way to go.

Anyone like to hazzard a guess.

This is exactly what crossed my mind when I saw the very quick ramp up talk of porvenir.
I believe we were paying circa $6m a month with 12 rigs which were hitting depths of 1500m
If we use that as a guideline and say 1000m drill depths I'm thinking $25m for a year at porvenir alone.
If we are to see any sort of ramp up at La hueca we can be sure of a raise for the regionals by end of the year surely?
Maybe more FN funding with the extra $50m being tied to the regionals if we get good results over the next 3 or 4 months.

Bnc your are quite right that povenir and La hueca are in the south with rio amarillo in the north.
I believe we only still have 3 new permits to drill and rio is not 1 of them.
