Given the results and outlook today’s SP reaction and likely the next few days are concerning. It’s the money markets who decide the price and clearly they don’t share the enthusiasm expressed on this board. Clearly the underlying trend is upwards but very slowly...

It will be interesting to see which business route Ilika ends up going down. Will it be joint ventures or will they get bought out? Either way we should hopefully see a huge return on our investment and I plan to buy a third tranche of shares ASAP before the price jumps up again

Thanks Jimbo. This presentation by Justin Waite really got my juices flowing! The comparison with Quantumscape really puts into perspective how underpriced these shares are compared to their US equivalents. Just bought a second tranche of shares.

@London you are right on the money! Despite the hype it was a bit of a flat update when you strip the figures down. Long term this is still a good hold but future SP growth will be dependent on what happens over the pond.

Inevitable drop as gross margin down

Most significant sentence for me was
“Concluded its assessment of various Stereax manufacturing options, demonstrating that the most efficient and cost-effective solution will be to establish its own manufacturing operation”.
Can see pros and cons to this. Most obvious pro is greater control and not having to share with a partner. Cons are investment costs and time to set up.
What are others thoughts on this?

Just eat is another example of a company who have benefited enormously from lockdown (trade up 57%) who released results today and share price closed over 4% down. Still think Boo will finish up tomorrow but not a huge jump. GLA

Hoping tomorrow sees a positive update on developments a Ilika and jump back up in SP. As others on here keep saying the medium to long term prospects are beyond exciting!

I think Ilika has both the Betamax and VHS analogies covered through its range of different sized batteries. For me what differentiates IKA from the others is that they also offer micro sized options for small implantable devices. The opportunities to support next generation medical devices is just as big as the EV opportunity.

Looking at the small increase in Asos share price on the back of great results I just don’t see it. The positive trading update is already priced in. The only thing that would increase the SP by 10% tomorrow would be unexpected news of a tie up particularly if in USA

The video recently posted on the Ilika website just blew me away. It’s what you see in sci-fi movies except this is real. The science and technology is there but what has held the devices back has been the size of the batteries... until Ilika came along... Well worth the watch!

I am hoping on Thursday to hear which manufacturing partner have been selected. They said they were looking at FABs across Europe and North America. My preference would be North America because of the interest and investment this will inevitably bring.

Not at all Johnnie I am very well invested in the lithium industry and I am not a day trader. Just trying to provide some balance to the bullish expectations.

Where did you read that out of interest? Graeme Purdy did say in December that they would be scaling up through a JV with an existing cell manufacturing company to get to the gigawatt scale.

Today’s fall makes me worry that the money markets are expecting a conservative update on Thursday. Rest of the lithium related sector has been steady today.

IMO I think the moment the money markets get a whiff that it’s deal done the SP will rocket instantly and it will be too late to buy in at today’s prices

Well we will get a good idea from the SP reaction to Asos on Wednesday but I am expecting at least a 10% jump in Boo over the course of this week

Given the company itself has cautioned on 29th December against the hype in SP I strongly expect the SP to drop after the 14th Jan interim results unless there’s some unexpected progress since Dec 29th.
