Taking solace that the SP has been incredibly stable these past few weeks despite the lack of activity. I actually think that a positive RNS would lead to a much bigger jump in SP than imagined. Just got a feeling something is coming...

Took the small dip as an opportunity to add more this morning. Be greedy where others are fearful!

It’s getting to crunch time. The next RNS really needs to deliver the good news we have all been waiting for. Another holding statement won’t cut it IMO

You really do need a lot of patience to hold here. It’s frustrating when the SP has basically not moved in a year and all the other shares I own have made significant gains. BUT I will remain patient until the next RNS

The best thing about Ilika is that they are already on with the next generation of battery beyond the upcoming generation of battery. Their micro batteries are going to change the world.

If there is any further dip on short term news I will be adding as it’s clear the vaccines are working not just in preventing serious disease but also greatly reducing transmission. As soon as the pressure eases on the health service sometime in March the government will put its foot on the accelerator and all today’s government talk will soon be forgotten

SP Onward and upward

After months of turmoil in the Boo share price no wonder their posters keep coming onto the Asos site to see a well run company making constant and reliable progress. It’s not too late to jump ship and come over to Asos you are welcome.

Well today another stock I hold Cassava Sciences (SAVA) rocketed on the back of very promising clinical trial results for its Alzheimer’s treatment drug. It reminded me why I am invested here. Like SAVA, Ilika is a company leading what could be a transformative invention. This also could very easily be a multi-bagger!

After many months of frustration waiting on Katoro it reminded me why I am invested here. This could be a multi-bagger, one of those shares that buys you a few holidays!

The jewels in the crown already starting to pay off...

Funny how the markets totally disagree with you :-)

You can understand why Boo have purchased Debenhams, to try to give them a bit of class. The rest of their offerings are a tatty offering to under 20s. Unfortunately for Boo the under 20s will have a lot less cash to splash in the next couple of years. Will be interesting to see whether Debenhams can save them.

Buried in the Asos RNS this morning are two gems:
1. We see particular opportunity to increase the brands' reach and accelerate our US strategy via partnership with Nordstrom in this key market.
2. We expect the transaction to deliver a double-digit return on capital (post tax) in the first full year.

Whichever way you look at it Asos beat Boo to the jewels in the crown. Asos will do very well off their acquisitions. That said Boo have pulled off a corker of a deal with Debenhams and I wish Asos has pulled Debenhams. However I don’t rate the other franchises Boo picked up which seem like loose change fillers.

Truth is Boohoo wanted the jewels in the crown and failed to get them. However Debenhams is a bargain!

Need to wait for the details of what’s in the Asos deal before being able to draw any comparisons. On the face of it they are good deals for both Asos and Boohoo which will help differentiate both offerings moving forward.
