Dreadful behaviour by the EU who are trying to safeguard the future of the union. GB leaving the union has shaken them and their abysmal handing of the vaccine ordering and roll out in what is arguably the greatest threat to human life since world war 2 means they are teetering on the brink. That’s why for me the places to invest this year are the nations which are rolling out the vaccine quickest - U.K. equities, China, Technology. I would avoid continental Europe like the plague.

Investment funds are shunning BOO because of the historic negative publicity and that will continue to hold back their SP I’m at least in the short term.

Great performance considering tech stocks mostly well down. Should be a good week ahead

Everything JW said. IMO it will be the micro Stereax battery that makes this company globally famous.
I expect to see more and more investors buying into Ilika over the coming months and every time I release some cash I keep on topping up here.

PS - The EU approving Oxford AstraZeneca today for ALL adults is also incredibly important and good news as that again could have been an issue.

Big blue I am more optimistic. In a couple of months time the U.K. will have the lowest infection in Europe because we are 3 months ahead on our vaccine roll out. I suspect countries will continue to use a mish-mash of info such as infection rates, death rates and overall vaccine rate. U.K. will be ahead of the curve and the EU will be desperate to get our tourist dollars

British Airways set to be first UK airline to trial mobile travel health passport

The airline will use the app VeriFLY, which can certify COVID test certificates as well as travel documentation on a traveller's mobile phone.

Trials of the app will begin on 4 February on routes between London and the US, but will be optional.

British Airways said the app would offer a "fast track opportunity" at the airport, allowing travellers to upload their documentation before they leave.

Considering the incredibly challenging Covid conditions in South Africa the board have done an amazing job looking after their staff whilst maintaining business. Also like that they are putting in mitigation around power interruptions. Imagine what will be achieved when this storm is exited from.

RNS fine in line with expectations and used this week’s dip to top up. My prediction for end of February is 150p.

Spent some time looking at the pros and cons of the 2 companies and ASOS came out the clear winner in terms of valuation, product range and long term stability. Delighted to have got in at such a cheap price this morning. See a 20% upside in SP in the first half of this year.

Well this week’s surprise dip has worked out well as my wife’s ISA transfer finally came through so she too is now a proud owner of Ilika shares. Shows how much confidence I have because I have no desire to be on the end of a berating...

I think this will drop along with EasyJet and Ryanair. Reason being that the U.K. is doing great with its vaccination program but the rest of Europe is 3 months behind us. So UK will potentially be ready to fly from April / May onwards but where are we going to fly to?? If Europe isn’t able to accept visitors until September that’s the summer season lost and I don’t know whether Jet2’s finances have that covered?

Fair answer! I guess that is why BA is a lot better positioned than EasyJet, RyanAir and Jet2.

I’d like to think it’s just the market being cautious and sitting on their hands until there is something concrete but as soon as there is I expect this to fly up instantly. So it’s one of those where you have to wait patiently because if you’re out when it happens you will miss it. I’ve persevered for almost a year now so intend to stay the distance. On a more positive note the SP has been incredibly stable which is no mean feat in the current market conditions.

I’m very confident that the U.K. has taken the initiative on the vaccination program and we are 2 - 3 months ahead of continental Europe. I expect the U.K. infection rate to be very low by April. The problem will be our European friends who won’t be in the same position until probably July/ August. So we will be ready to fly but where are we going to fly to??

It continues to amaze me how cheap these shares on. If either of Haneti or Blyvoor are as success this will yield a wonderful return. If they both come in I reckon we’re looking at a multi-bagger. Exciting times and hopefully happy days round the corner
