@dougerboy I imagine it has something to do with next week’s trading update. I myself have just topped up this morning and intend to top up again tomorrow.

“ Trifast stands on the cusp of an extended period of strong growth”.

Picking up on Hereshopin’s point about the strange timing of the two trading updates to supposedly benefit the new investor. What I find strange is that ITX must have known M6 was a soft month as they know their order cycles. So could it be that ITX got one over the new investor by releasing M1-M5 ahead of M6. However that doesn’t bode well for a good investor relationship so seems unlikely. However if you were the new investor at 12.1p a share I would imagine you were pretty annoyed yesterday! Unless they know something we don’t know and good news is round the corner. It just doesn’t add up right now and that gives me cause for optimism.

Small consolation but today saw over 17 million ITX shares trade hands which I believe is a new record for ITX and a sign of how far this company has come. There are multiple buys of over £10,000 showing today so clearly a lot of confidence out there that is an amazing buy opportunity. I’m confident the price will rise over the coming months but wouldn’t mind this starting on Friday after I’ve topped up on Thursday lol

MMs definitely up to something. Already today volume of 14million shares traded compared to just under 12 million shares by close of play on the previous update. That’s some serious volume for a relatively minor update (1 additional months data compared to the previous update which covered M1 to M5). I see someone has made a £20k purchase already this morning. It will be interesting to see what other big buys appears during the course of today / tomorrow morning.

@Chanatron - really? So I suppose the company must be using magic beans to pay for the following:
“The Company plans to add a new odour control product, expand into at least one new application, and increase marketing efforts with broader promotional activities in the second half of 2021.”
“Interest in new detergent products based on Itaconix® TSI™ continues, with new detergent brands and new formulation projects starting by the end of 2021.”

I’ve sold some other shares to buy ITX this morning at 8p and will add more on Thursday. Trading is not flat, you have to look at the year on year data to take into account the cyclical nature of its business. The recent fund raise at 12.1p now looks a very shrewd deal by the company and no doubt that money will be used to invest in driving product development over the coming months as the RNS alludes to. I am confident that in 6 months time when we have the H2 results I will be very pleased that I added shares at 8p!

I’m guessing most of us will be a little disappointed with the RNS but then did we realistically think things would have changed much in a month since the previous update. I was hoping M6 would be an improvement on M1-M5 but it looks like M6 wasn’t a particularly good month due to order cycles etc. No doubt share price will take a hammering today which will hurt but I think it’s also an opportunity to make money during the second half of the year which as we all know is when Itaconix shines. As mentioned before I’ve got funds coming in on Thursday and will be adding to average down.

This morning is a little reminder of how little buying action is needed to get the price moving upwards sharply due to the modest size of available share float. Whenever the next positive RNS lands I expect to see a sharp jump upwards. For me the recent share placing with institutional investors at 12.1p has completely de-risked ITX. I’ve got funds landing in my account Thursday to add more ITX but knowing my luck ITX will cost a lot more to add than last week! Win either way!

Interesting co-incidence! Croda absolutely flying this year with one upward broker revision after another. Remember my answer when you asked who the mystery investor could be. No doubt I am wrong but just imagine if there was a tie-up announced next week.

Yeah definitely another investor. JS clearly said that the investor approached them. Unfortunately the data is always a few months out of date. I’m due some funds in next Thursday and I intend to buy more ITX so you can bet your bottom dollar the trading update will be out before then and the price goes up before I have the chance to add more lol

My theory (guess) is they want to include a positive announcement on a new customer deal which is currently being finalised

LIBERUM INITIATES TRIFAST WITH 'BUY' - TARGET 260 PENCE

Ok so I’ve made a couple of small top ups this morning each around the £900. I expect the price to bounce up from its 40p+ support mark soon.
Looking over the past 3 years the share price has barely moved and I can see from previous RNSs that funds have been raised to support developments and enable revenue growth which is healthy for a growing company. Do others expect further fund raises in the coming 12 months or not?

That is one hell of a swing in Tieto’s profits! Planning to add to my modest holding here whilst the price is still low

The 500,000 shares trade was actually yesterday. Looking at the timing it coincides with yesterday’s fall in share price so probably a sell. Hopefully we will wake up to a brand spanking new RNS in the morning!

Excellent post AJP, as you say none of the fundamentals have changed. In fact with every passing day the importance of the environmentally sustainable products Itaconix is manufacturing increases. We are already past the tipping point and growth is just going to accelerate here on in.
In my experience stocks tend to surprise when expectations are low and vice versa. Clearly we are going into the next trading update on a bit of a downer and that suits me fine!

@Tracylied, Thanks for this, as a new investor it’s a really useful overview. I’ve invested as the company is in the key 5G sector and has an attractive range of products including patented technology. With a market cap of just 24M this could yield some spectacular returns on investment over the coming years.

Feels like they wanted to get this out the way today before the good news follows in the H1 RNS. Fingers crossed we are all rewarded for our faith soon

Unfortunately I’ve been burnt in buying IAG too soon a couple of weeks ago. I would not wish to call the low now that we are likely facing a second year of vastly reduced travel. The problem with everyone in the world vaccinating at different rates is that we are seeing waves of infections occurring at differing times so countries will keep closing their borders to one another. Winter will bring little reprieve so best we can hope for now is recovery for summer 2022
