I agree that situation for travel doesn't look good but there is no need for throwing numbers about SP.

He says he has invested 30k more at 107p. Why would you invest at 107 when you believe that price will go down much below than that?

Where is the big money going if it is not coming into oil? Currently, I see prices of EVs, batteries and hydrogen companies at 20-30% lower than they used to be when they had mind boggling valuations - NIO, Plug power, ITM, Charge point

One thing for sure is that it is not just ENQ but other oilers too are not moving up despite oil near $67

Hopefully situation improves in May/June.

As there are no dividends until 2023 I thought we are getting the beating but the dividend announcement was made with annual reports and still SP gone up to £1.27

BT cancelled dividends until 2023 but still it now moved up from 100p to 150p+ now. I used to think BT is the worst share as it was unloved before the pandemic but for some reason it picked up now.

Like wise RR will have glory days depending on the holiday travel announcement. Currently virus situation doesn't look good so next week will be the real test for our SP.

In my opinion all the negative news should be priced in. As market is forward looking, price should float between 105-112p until travel announcement is made. IMO

With POO rising and now above $67, you will wonder who is still selling? Definitely PIs like you and me when the oil is rising as we anticipate that with SP goes up with oil going up as it always used to be but not this time. Why? Who is selling?

I think it is manipulation. All the oils are being held down or the big boys not jumping in as the big money is stuck somewhere else? With POO rising since many days, big boys can't resist jumping in? If oil is at $67 on Monday then I think we will see a big re-rate of SP for oilers. Today Friday by the end of the day, big money could be rotated back to oil. We are nearing full driving season with US vaccination and with China's 18% growth, oil can't go lower.

Now we have almost all airline CEOs saying that summer holidays are possible.

And EasyJet is still up today and airline stocks are holding up despite doom and gloom and RR holding up nicely too. When they are not dropping hard, I can't see how RR. drops significantly to 75p that Kando is calling for.

Airline CEOs are confident that traffic light system with testing will prevent the entry of any variants. LFT are being considered for travel instead of expensive PCR tests. Airline industry as well insisting that rapid antigen tests are enough. If these tests show positive after returning to UK from travel then a PCR test can be taken for self isolation.

Other countries will accept rapid antigen tests when coming from UK. Moreover other countries are not even asking for any tests if one is vaccinated! This is the reason EU is accelerating their vaccinations. Today France reported that they vaccinated 15.75M with first dose! We are still in mid of April.

By May media will start reporting that EU are in a good shape with vaccine progress.

Airline stocks are forward looking for the positive news and they are not dropping hard and I don't see any reason why RR will fall when they are diversified.

In May there might be news about ITP sale confirmation. That would be atleast £1.5bn cash, which will be available for RR. Hold tight and we will be rewarded. ATB

Kando, how long do you want govts to close the borders and lockdown people? We are now almost half through into 2nd year.

We have to learn to live with covid and open up economy. At the same time, vaccines can help reduce the infections. Number of positive cases down by 34% since last week or so.

Those countries with high infections will be put into red list and let the western countries open up once vaccinated.

You will see that EU will open up for tourism this summer and to do that they will ramp up vaccination despite J&J setback. Infact, Poland today administered J&J vaccine and there was no resistance from their people although it is still early days but you can see that EU countries are ramping up vaccination.

There will be lot of countries in green list. We just need the announcement as early as possible. UK is waiting to see the progress in EU so they want to make travel announcement early May. Until the announcement, I do not see why travel stocks will go down.

I feel the announcement in May will be welcomed by the market even if there are few countries listed in green zone. Market will be forward looking in anticipation of more will get added later.

Govt is also sorting out covid tests to enable travel for non vaccinated travelers.

Red I know you mentioned that you are invested and you are frustrated looking at the share price. Everybody is frustrated and my last post was in frustration.

I'm trying to find some positives and I don't like how media covers the virus situation.

I still think May/June will look much better as EU ramps up vaccines and open up for travel.

Red doesn't have anything to post other than just speculating the share price and "throwing" numbers in the air. How does that help anyone?

In just a matter of minutes today morning on the bell, SP moved from 107.74p to 109.45p. With so many shares in issue, still it rose by almost 2p in a matter of 3 minutes.

Now imagine what a bit of positive news will have an impact on RR SP?

Today, there was no news at all. All bad news has been priced in. We had J&J saga on Tuesday, we know about SA variant in London areas and RR price held up nicely. Actually one negative news today was about spike in infections in India, Germany and Brazil. But bloody media only talk about number of cases and not the deaths.

Chris Whitty said covids deaths will be treated like flu deaths as number is comparable or even lower than flu deaths although now we can't distinguish flu and covid deaths.

Now positive news that Media doesn't want to show on the front page is that 40M population got vaccinated in UK and over 40's are getting invited for jab in Ireland and 45+ in elsewhere in UK.

If they can just post the positive news on the front page, it makes so much difference to everyone's lives.

Kando knows, everyone knows that covid is actually mild and deaths are low too but these people want to spread fear.

Where are all investors/traders gone?

Domestic flights in US, Australia are almost back to pre-pandemic levels. RR makes money from the domestic flights too as long as RR engines are in those planes.

Last year travel corridors were opened despite virus situation. Now with vaccines in US,UK and other countries that are in green list, more travel corridors would be established.

We are still in middle of April. More and more people are getting vaccinated across the world. Situation will be much better in May. Hold tight.

Remember that RR flying hours count for cargo flights as well. All that matters is whether planes are flying or not and doesn't matter how many are in the plane and where the plane is flying.

Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss also points to the successful vaccine roll-outs in the US and the UK as offering "a clear opportunity to safely introduce a transatlantic corridor from 17 May."

Another CEO is also optimistic about the transatlantic travel.
