According to the Jakarta Post, nickel global production growth will average 3.5% between 2018-2027. The best performing country will be Indonesia, production will be up 20% in 2018 on 2017 levels. Thereafter the increase is likely to be 8.1% between 2018-2027 in Indonesia, outperforming all other global nickel producers by a significant margin.
I think they like to smelt it in Indonesia and China is their main customer.

Interesting article in the Mail about the boss of Glencore. He jets around the world making deals, is pretty ruthless and used to be a trader. Wonder if the current lacklustre share price is more than just market conditions?

According to Early Bird on Twitter who has spoken to the CFO, they are working their socks off and planning a big PR and publicity campaign post FS. Bring it on, the earlier the better!

I honestly don't know. It is up to Jeremy to produce a viable plan to finance building the mine, so any offer is not derisory. I think he said he would not enter into any offtake agreements until after the FS. Glencore is buying back its own shares, so I would have thought they could afford a decent price. A silly price would encourage others to offer I would hope.

I'm certainly holding until it is certain that no large mining company that actually holds this share at the moment, does not want the lot. I am certainly holding until it is proven that Jeremy does not know how to negotiate an offtake agreement to help finance the mine if no decent bids transpire. If Hzm is 2p or less after the FS, if the report is reasonable I shall still be holding.

Perfect timing with the elections I see! Fight between right and left, no mention of nationalising mines! I think Vale sold Vermelho to us, because they cheesed off the local authorities, who decided to get difficult on licences. Horizonte on the other hand support local schools, I remember the share price dropped when that came out. Cast your bread upon the water, as my old granny used to say.

Wonder where nickel will be in two years time, when they start to get the stuff out of the ground? Could be just six days away from FS or up to sixteen. Don't think Jeremy could delay it again surely!. Will this old nag of a share, make it to the winners enclosure, or knackers yard? Think latest date for FS is first two weeks of October, third time lucky. I bought more shares with all the excitement of the first proposed date. Thought over on the other board is that none of the big boys have reduced lately, it is now just bored private investors withering away. If you keep putting the date of the party back, you will find less want to attend. The smaller the party the more to go round though!

That is what I am hoping, HZM is a tasty morsel for one of the big miners. Would quite like the share price to be a bit higher before they pounce. But with the Bod's share options at the same price as my shares, should get my money back and more.

Hope you waited until today to buy mbingo! Sadly I bought at 4.48 the first time the FS was due. Seems a long September, but hopefully minimum of 11 or max of 22 days to FS. I have another lacklustre share that went up 47% the other day (EQT) just on the new CEO's interview, so hopefully the FS will do better than that, even if it takes a little bit longer.

Hopefully thirty days to go at the most.

I'm sure you are right. I paid 1p more than the current price in May, when we thought the FS was imminent, would like to see that penny back of course! Have been with this one a long time so have some cheaper and bought more last week, at what I consider a bargain price.

I honestly think some entity wants to keep the share price subdued for a cheeky low bid post FS. It will be down to the integrity of those in charge, will they recommend acceptance for a few inducements or look for a better return for shareholders? I think the latter.

Nickel was 14,500 dollars in 2005, approx 12,200 now, but forecast to go so much higher ....

Hzm market cap at moment about 71 million dollars.

Thanks Maverick, I like the bit in the report which states HZM has similarities to Canico which sold for $ 942 MM in 2005, the main difference being HZM has two world class mines, they only had one.

The delay is to do with saving on Capex and designing two furnaces so they can ramp up production if needed. They did buy another mine as well. My hope is the lot gets bought by next year, the more comprehensive the study is, hopefully the better the price.

I understand that Jeremy nodded to 'more than 20p' earlier in the year. So is he ramping, or making a knowledgeable judgement? Of course he did not say on the day, perhaps a little later? This is Aim of course!
