The day Steven is vaguely happy, we may be minted. I think most share buys by those in charge unless millions, are just a coded message to the city and us, that all is well with the company. I think if those in charge just bought shares to give themselves an easy ride as the company went down the pan, they would have a serious black mark against them in any future venture.
I invested in a firm where the great leader had millions of shares, he managed to get them out though as the company hit trouble. There was an article about him starting his next company thankfully not in this country, the comment below were quite pithy, he had not gone down with his ship.
So study the past history of those in charge, study how they cope in a crisis. Do they look calm, when they do an interview on the day the shares are tumbling, do they have investor calls for ordinary investors in the midst of it, do they answer your email when you are just a private investor. Doing your research on those running the show is as important as doing the research on what they are running, because when the brown stuff hits the blades, their wrong decisions will cost you.
I am content here, though my holding is rather submerged. Lombard and the present price of nickel have done us no favours,
