This article by David Mozovick posted for discussion. Personally I found it uninformed and one sided. He doesn't take into account renewable energy policy in Europe and Hydrogen storage for example. He mentions issues about gas leakage but was this ever an issue back in the days of town gas. He suggests the Japanese are about to do a U Turn on the Hydrogen Economy and have got it all wrong...…..thoughts welcome.

Well fitlike the-noo-min. I found the 2014 video by Tony Seba somewhat narrow minded however Americans are not going to pay $4 per gallon (Hydrogen Equivalent) when they can get fossil fuel at the pump a lot cheaper owing to cheap oil coming out of the Permian basin. Trump as we have seen is not pro environment and as long as we have this mindset around then fossil fuels are going to be around until they run out or become uneconomic or are proven without doubt to be destroying our biosphere.

He also mentions replacing existing infrastructure such as gas stations which my understanding is that H2 will supplement the existing infrastructure and add to it. For example the UK gas grid can be supplemented with H2. Electrolysers can be installed on the gas station forecourt. He also talks about efficiency of EV's but folk forget that there is currently a large fossil fuel footprint associated with electricity production. The Hydrogen economy in its ethical form promotes H2 production primarily from renewable energy whether it pans out that way remains to be seen. Oh Toby, looks like I’ve got this all wrong, here’s me thinking the water in the emulsion fuel during combustion vaporised thus creating kinetic energy similar to the old steam locomotives.
