The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
The share drop just baffles - consistent growth in core year on year, now dividend paying, and investing overseas for future growth and yet drops - what’s it gonna take lol ... anybody know anything I don’t!?
Surprised by limited share price movement, with overseas investment costs stripped out lfl operating profit would have been up 34% to 2.6mill! Not to mention £5mill cash balance held, all for £13mill MCap, and paying a 4% div yield second year running. Am I missing something here! ... Martin moving on and then selling his shares has clearly kept a lid on the share price, but he must have nearly exited in full by now, if not already done so?
Divi is doubtful - cash being ploughed into field investment for production growth - just the way it should be - wih bumper cash reserves being held - 2 to 3 year hold and this should be promising
Good update, including some improved levels of detail - well done JW. onwards and upwards GLA
I’d be happy with a 3% yield tbh which is “market rate” and use the excess cash to fund growth in these early days for future dividend growth
Great set of results reported at companies house! £5mill in cash, I sense a continuing dividend stream albeit respecting the ongoing growth needs of business. Exciting times
First view, following recent debt for equity swop - that is now a strong balance sheet for an aim listed company. Probably due a re-rate thereof
Good update. Sales growth continues and moving to increasing retail outlets to the amount of 520 in the spring - should significantly improve brand awareness! It's all going in the right direction.
POO at these prices for rest of year - should offset our boe decline for shut in period and hopefully bring H2 results online with H1
3.8 mill in cash, 1.9mill operating profit doubled 2016 and first dividend due to be declared. Given ongoing investment in business - forecast p&l, and cash flows must be looking strong. Well done J Gunn my patience has been rewarded since the reverse acquisition - thank you!
No, will be on the market buyback, common practice on stock market for companies with significant excess working capital - 3.8mill at y/e
What is your price target? ... given growth of co. YoY and continuation expected thereof, 15 x Group PBT? Say 18mill Mcap- or think that is abit ott?
Love how under the radar this little beauty is! I only know about it thanks to value the markets.com.
GIS results are at companies house ... has been a good trading year ... looking forward to interims for forward guidance! See they are advertising jobs on the website, usually a good sign for growth.
Bought £3k today based on valuethemarkets.com write up, sounds promising and almost to good to be true should it all pan out. Here's hoping I finally get a winner!!!
I expect 1.3mill profit pre tax for PLC given GIS financials at 1.6mill, with 3.75mill cash - what are peoples thoughts on mcap? Gotta be at least 10 x say 13mill 30% short term upside? As for current trading update lots of majors are reporting good sales on wealth management products so hoping good for us as a market trend. We shall soon see.
As expected, 4mill net asset position - 10mill market cap. Personally expecting a re-rate. Was hoping for a dividend....
Re-read last RNS, plc is for the Irish stock listing
Think he is on about synergis capital, our newly created subsidiary for the bond trading aspect... I note it has now changed to a plc per companies house, wonder if this will be listing shortly or has been done to give it a perceived "image" both are legitimate reasons
One would hope trading since reported cash balance at end of March is yeilding profits/ cash for reinvestment.
