Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
We haven't discussed this much on here but didn't Acon recall the "flowflex" that the Government are using here at the weekend from sale in the US because its an adulterated version of the US version and ought not to have been on sale there (see post on ODX FORUM 22.29 Sunday)
Thanks for that Reaper.
I usually pride myself on carefully studying the RNS's but I hadn't fathomed this one till your last post.
You are absolutely right.
Definitely puts a new perspective on things
Thanks MilkMONSTA
I write with some humility having exposed myself rather uncomfortably financially (last moan you'll hear from me on that score). Bruised but not broken as they say. And (probably to the horror of some on here still "all in".
We await news of AVA6000. Its all been said.
Re the LFT imo this should not be written off
1. Avacta haven't written it off.
2. There seems to be a growing trend to re evaluate tests in the light of Omicron (for example Germany and the US).
3. There appears to be a trend possibly to be exacerbated by the above for countries to be suspicious of the Chinese tests
4. It is looking like (despite the denials) the days of UK Government supplied free tests are numbered.
If (and I accept its a big if - but maybe not an improbable one) our "next generation" test comes on line in the next 2 or three months and with the appropriate fanfare maybe there are grounds for a great deal of hope for it still?
Hi Everyone
I am gutted like all the genuines about yesterday.
As usual I was on leverage at the wrong moment.
However.....
We all have our ways of dealing with these little bumps.
Mine is a nice large whisky or two last night and today its a new day.
Good luck all
don't know why that came up twice
Absolutely spot on TallPaul.
imo Al is playing a blinder.
Let others bring down the sleazeballs.
Avactas products will not be tarnished by the mealy mouthed double speak of others.
AVCT are behaving with dignity and integrity.
It will stand them in good stead

That'll put the cat among the pigeons.
About time too!!!
I think that as investors we have almost become used to expecting to be disappointed by the LFT progress but when you see the hard work being done to establish a foundation for it and remember that it is after all the best Covid test in the world (in my humble opinion) and that its shelf life for this purpose is probably at least another three to five years (and that's not taking into account the other exciting diagnostic possibilities)………………
Well put it like this...…
I'm not expecting to continue being disappointed by its progress.
That I suspect if true (and granted) would really imo blast us out of this range.
And when you think of it what possible reason would Medusa have NOT to apply to the FDA.
It's surely a "no brainer"

Certainly understand anyone that's bored of focussing on the banal world of Government corruption and incompetence.
Yesterday made it obvious that the Government will rather blank out queries than address them.
You can see why.
To address them would mean admitting mistakes and possibly worse.
Their is however a point to the recent awakening of awareness to the "Chinese Fiasco" and that is the drip drip effect on public perception that the Chinese tests are crap and that its the Governments fault that they are foisted on us.
Currently there is no such perception in the general public but in 6 months time when Medusa may be seeking to sell home use tests to consumers in the UK things may well be completely different
Hi Eastside
Not sure that anyone is being complacent or "loyal" to Medusa.
And you and certain other valued posters will make sure we never descend into "Groupthink".
Its just that some of us are more concerned about the state of the website than others.
My tuppenceworth is that I reckon its likely that most of the visitors to the site at the moment are LSE and ADFVN chatboard members. So the current state of the site is unlikely to be impacting on Medusas reputation.
It is surely trite and unarguable that Medusa give high priority to our test.
They have no doubt put a huge amount of work into getting the HUA as well as investing millions.
Some bright spark has come up with "Meduflow" and registered it.
Richard Hughes and his colleagues will have his own priorities for monetising this wonderful asset. Immediate overhaul of the website seems not to be the first of them.
I suspect he knows his business better than we know his business.
I am not saying that its wrong to beef about the website and Bella has done a good job emailing but for me its not a huge worry.
I wondered if we would get an RNS today but on reflection I'm not too disappointed
Al doesn't seem keen to get involved in politics. We can surely see why! Let Neale Hanvey get on with it. Its a dirty game.
IMO our (mushrooms) main"job" is to keep our peckers up and keep encouraging each other to hold for gold (if we believe in the Company).
HMG can't stop our future success!
Hope you get on Pigster.
How about this
Given that the Chief of MI 5 has this year warned of the effect on the public of Chinas activities why do the free Lateral Flow Tests supplied by the Government say "Made in China"
A Big Thank you to all our Keyboard Warriors (in the best sense of the term) on here who have been contacting media outlets and MPs and twittering over the last few days
That's this board at its best when we are not gazing at our navel and fighting each other.
The Wednesday debate will be interesting but I don't think we should be disappointed if the government continues to obfuscate and the media continue not really to get the point. But through it all awareness will be getting raised and there will be being a spotlight shone on the desktop process which most including Prof Peto (who is supposed to be overseeing it) thought was going like a dream (or more possibly displayed wilful ignorance whether it was or not).
Prof Petos comments yesterday betrayed what has probably been an easy narrative of "whingeing British Companies" in Civil Service and some scientific circles.
What we can hope for imo through the response to his comments (honourable mention to Omega) through the debate on Wednesday and through the reporting that has just started is the exploding of this narrative.
I do hope for a measured AVCT RNS tomorrow to assist in this process.
A happy new year everyone.
