Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I expect those who moan that’s it’s the BOD s fault would have been the exact same people moaning if the company had accepted 50p per share to get the deal done. Take responsibility for your own decisions. Me? I was greedy and didn’t sell at 40p plus but wish I had. I remember lots of moaning when we were bouncing around 29p. Just sell if you want out or if you can’t due to losses then you can’t. My pension has reduced by £60k since the invasion but it will come back. The world is not going bust!
I expect the huge majority on here (myself included) have never sold a company of any value. No one knows the intricacies of the negotiation, admin, NDA, war, etc etc etc while also running the company and setting up a future company. Deals can sometimes be seen to be quick but no one really knows when the process started in any sales negotiation
Great post LB. Voice of reason. Its amazing how much BS is posted on this bb. When I first arrived (at 17p)it was a great place to be. Never mind, Im sure a current drop today of 0.4p is well worth all the doom and gloom posts. At these low level (post Russia invasion) prices, percentages can be a deceiving way of looking at gains and losses. Still underwater here but luckily Im not in any desperate need for the funds. all the best
So sorry yo hear that Kammy. I have been in that very situation for a long time. Mum died when I was 9 in a gas explosion, dad died at 72 then my elder brother had a brain tumour at 50. It does get easier mate and always good to talk to people and remember them. Also reach out if feeling down. The pain you feel is due to those magic memories you have had. make sure the stepsons have great times to look back on in the future. Im sure you will
We are just looking at it from EUA in our guesses for suspension. It may be the big buy out (I hope) and the suspension isnt just to protect eua but the other company too. This could be why they cant just say its a buy out without speculation elsewhere. Am I correct in saying that it is the buying company who first announce a buy out - hence its not called a sell out
