Even if I hadn't traded them, I would've still made 150% on the 200p I paid two years ago.
A safe company, with a dividend (albeit slashed from 2019).

Still holding all of my original dividend shares and half the shares I bought for -200p.
And you didn't even start saying they'd go bust, and me along with them, until they had already reached more than 300p.

I don't pay Income tax or NI.
Everything I have outside my house is in pensions and ISAs.
All my investing is done from there too.
I did have some left outside the wrappers when I sold my business but I've been feeding that in ever since and that's safe as well now.
When I draw anything, I take my personal allowance from a SIPP first (+ the tax-free 25%), which is all tax free.
Everything else comes from the ISAs I've built up.
Tax man doesn't even want me to declare it because he can't touch any of it.

Unfortunately, that will all change when I start to claim my state pension in 2026 as that and two DB pensions (even though they're VERY small and I will be living mainly on wholly tax free income from my ISAs) will tip me slightly over my annual personal allowance and I'll become of interest to Mr Hunt's successors.
For the sake of a few quid a year!

The BP shares I'm trading are the ones I bought at less than 200p, Sept 2020.
You know, more of my "fantasy" shares.

There are 21,096,376,104 UKOG shares in issue, following numerous dilutions since the days it was once 7p.
That's only 3 Bn more than BP.
UKOG shares = £13.5M.
I confess, I think that's bloody good for 60 barrels of oil per day.

But BP produced 1.85M barrels per day in 2021, when demand was still crushed.
BP shares = £88,450.0M
How long, I wonder, do you think achieving these kinds of production numbers might take the dear leader?
Because that's exactly when you might see the SP rise to £0.10 again.

Length of time you've "planned for" keeps getting longer the longer the SP keeps falling.
One day you might be able to get out again for a profit.
Just keep extending.

I think that's been made patently obvious, over and over again.

There is no need for realists to sink to the rampers level.
This share provides its' own evidence through the SP.
There have been plenty of blue starts to the day.
Most have ended the day in the red.
But these all (and red starts) provide buying and selling opportunities.
That will not help long-term holders, but that's why I keep posting about the potential of trading.
I've seen plenty of profits here, but only from trading.
