To be fair, you can trade things on the way down.
But you need volatilty both ways and the spread has to be wide enough to make it practical.
Easily most of the trades I've done with UKOG were while it was trending down.
I was satisfied with very small profit margins and getting in and out quickly.

Not really possible now volatility has become so infrequent and less predictable, and with spreads that consume any chance of a profit.
Occasionally there's an opportunity.
Last time I got one was May.
I'm more attracted to less risky options now but still watch, just in case.
