Just checked and my combined figure is +25% on the whole twelve months.

Looking at its' graph, the FTSE probably fell closer to 40%.

My 'steady' portfolio is up 10% on the last twelve months.
My 'trading' portfolio is rather better.
I have compared with other PI friends who have done similarly over the period, although we all invest differently.
I was holding £50k of UKOG shares from around 1.3p and had to trade them to reduce the fall in their value.
The FTSE is around 6500 now and hasn't fully recovered to its' pre-covid highs of around 7800, but it hasn't done badly and some parts have done much better than others; my main holding (BP) is still relatively low and that won't pick up until people are back out and spending.
But BP is producing a quality product in saleable quantities.
Market fell 33% and still has another 15% to get back to where it was before covid.
I'm guessing we might see that this Summer, if we're lucky.

I have posted comments as my views have changed.
That was a reply to a specific comment in a conversation.
As my views have changed I have also explained that.
I have never been a ramper or a de-ramper here, or anywhere else.
Had you followed my posts, you would know that shortly after that I became more neutral and then very disappointed.
I do not believe the business has been run well and have posted that.

Where I have pasted others' comments you will note the blatant ramping/de-ramping comments of those who only comment to try and influence other for their own ends.

The RR shares did very well thank you, although they're down again at the moment due (I believe) to pessimism about the virus.
Still 10% on the day was nice and I will probably be buying them all (+10%) back again shortly.

I do not post on the RR board.
The only boards I have ever posted anything on here are UKOG; FEVR; PRSM; and AVCT (I think).
I don't think I've ever posted anything negative on any other board than UKOG's as none of my other holdings are in shares as badly managed as this.

I'm not going to lie,i have ramped this share up to high heaven....but even iv'e had enough.

We suppose to have the oil,everything in place,even though the share dilution is bordering on confetti shares. Will we ever get past 1p ever again. It doesn't matter for the BOD's ..they get paid,yes i know they need funds so some dilution is imminent /expected..but this looks like it's going the same way as all other AIM shares..doomed,unless someone knows different. More thousands lost..for me and others. Excuse Grammar.

A year ago I made a bet with him that I'd shave my eyebrows if UKOG was above 5p by xmas.
He was posting about it then.
Not saying it was justified, or just, just that he wasn't secretive about it.

To be fair to Tymers, he posted rubbish to try and ramp UKOG.
He freely admitted exactly why he was doing it on many occasions.
He was trading UKOG and wanted to try and raise the price by convincing anyone who'd believe him that it was worth more.
Most of everything else he came up with was pure drivel.
Same as all the others who are still doing it.

I did.
Three and a half years ago.
Trebled it my first trade.
Only way to make anything here is buying when you think it'll go up and selling when you think it'll go down.
You need volatility for that.
When it's static, or only going down, you can 't profit without a dividend.

RR = Rolls Royce Plc.
It fell on what was received by the market as a poor trading report this morning.
I didn't think it was at all so I used the capital I had in UKOG and bought RR with it.
[Incidentally, I bought at 88.7p - It closed back above 96p.]

Bornagain - Yes, I'd already been selling although I wasn't intending to sell the last of my holding.
Saw a better opportunity earlier and went for it.
I sold a lot earlier in the month from my SIPP, to fund my 2021 withdrawal.
The total I'd left (and sold earlier) was just 1,289,062.

I had been trading them intermittently for the last couple of years, but was always playing catch-up for the value I'd left here.
I'd banked my original profits two years ago(-ish) and left £50k of that here.
I managed to trade £30k of that back, so UKOG has still done well for me (£100k is not insignificant for my pocket).

I disagree that there is no point buying UKOG, with some reservations.
I have only ever made money from UKOG by trading it.
I would still buy if I saw opportunities to resell for more quick profits.
But I would be doing that for >10% profits (more would be a bonus, obvs).

There is no reasonable management here though.
That makes LTH unrealistic.
There is less evidence now that this will ever recover, much less grow.

Last of my holding went this morning.
I have others that are returning and, sadly, I only see UKOG is a lottery ticket now.
I hope I am wrong, and wish everyone else nothing but the best.
If this does follow the ramper dreams, I will be back to congratulate everyone.

One of the things I've had to learn about investing is when to cut your losses.
I've not done that here and that was a mistake.
I'm still 'up', having banked profits I made some years ago, but the money I left here isn't working for me.
I've invested it elsewhere now (RR, after a 10% drop this morning - I think it might triple in a couple of years, after covid).

Might want to mention what.

You posted 'em all.

I only targeted 10% profit margins but obviously the first one was 300%.
I actually got about 50/50 10% to 20% margins on every trade.
Haven't been able to repeat that over the last couple of years.
Have barely made any trades over the last six months and before that I had to reduce my targets to just 5% opportunities.

The rest of my portfolio is invested "safely" as most people would invest their money (funds, trusts, dividend shares, etc).
I only 'trade' with 5% of it, max.
Or if something else 'spikes' unexpectedly.
