If I see a future here I'd consider buying again.

Longest oxymoron I ever read.

The price of oil has more than trebled since 21st April last year.
In the same period the price of UKOG has more than halved.
Obvious correlation.
Not.

Why's the price of oil pumping UKOG?
They haven't got any.

Not to mention the supply shortage, after heavy closures / sell-offs last year.
I can see it going over $100 and queues at the pumps, when everyone's come back out to play again.
That's not just covid though as we will have a large unemployment problem to resolve too, which may take longer.

It was plainly a good strategy to get out at 8p.
But getting back "in again at .26p", and "now at 0.13p" is a pure punt, based on a past that is now just a dream.
There is one phrase you come across in investing more than any other; "Past performance is no guarantee of future results".

I traded this on little more than guesswork and a gut-feeling.
Luckily I have a large gut so it worked quite well.
While I think there are some who do it with a lot more intuition than I had, I agree that I was very relieved, after the fact.
Even so, I left half my 'winnings' here for far too long and had to do more just to break even on that lot.
So he does, kind of, have a point.
And, while I wouldn't say he (she) was the chief ramper, I will agree that it's been apparent which camp he's in.

Think it's a perverse hope that it might still turn around and turn big losses back into profits.
That is the ultimate success of the Boiler Room rampers' efforts.

I feel your pain.
I have learned the importance of selling at a loss to avoid a bigger loss.
But, for whatever reason, it took me a while to practise that here.
Still in oil majors (particularly BP) who do have a product and are benefitting.
