I have a negative outlook but I only have a token amount in here now.
I tried holding UKOG once and it was an utter failure.
Only success I've seen here was from trading, which is almost impossible now as well.

That's one way of looking at it.
I have some sympathy with it as well.
But I also ask, "Is the price expensive today relative to a potential RNS asking for more money or announcing the business is no longer viable?"
Especially since more and more LTH's are waking up to lyin' Steve's claims and assertions and realising they've been had.

I last filled up around four weeks ago and still have half a tank (luckily, mine's quite a large one. Ooer.).
Don't need to drive to work or shops, so I shan't be joining any plonker queues.
I'll do my 'bit' and defer to those who actually need it while the madness rages.

Price of oil is so relevant it's gone from $39/b to $80/b in one year.
Over the same period UKOG's SP has gone from 0.19 to 0.1375p.

The price of oil is only relevant to real world oil producers.
Speaking of which, I just started 'realising' some BP profits.
Hopefully they'll fall back soon and I can buy them back again, for less.

I got in three years ago as well, but was luckier.
Originally I bought to hold too, but sold on the sudden spike (sudden spikes make me nervous).
I hope my continual whittering-on about trading it may have had some influence.
But, regardless, I'm very glad someone else tried it and saw some payback.

Like you I smell BS whenever SS opens his gob.
But that can work for you as well, if you're trading.
If you know the opposite is going to be true, you can make an appropriate decision.

I was drawing the obvious comparison between the two.
I've also traded BP but nowhere near as often as UKOG (only five or six times in four years).
But I'm not too worried about being left with their shares as they pay a dividend.
Currently SP is down on where it was two years ago, but I doubled my holding in March last year when it was below £2.00.
Bought so much it's skewing my portfolio now. lol.

Oil will be back in normal use for at least another decade, possibly two.
The production infrastructure has not yet been fully replaced and there will be shortages when demand comes back.
I've already got Sell orders in place for when the SP builds enough to negate my dividend resources.
(They'll need to restore the dividend level for that first though).
