I'm an investor.
I'm washed (admittedly only in the last hour, but them's the perks of retirement).
I don't work, I'm retired.
I earn a rather better living since I stopped working.
I don't pay any income tax or CGT as I only invest and profit from within my ISA and SIPP (actually that's an outright lie as I will have an income tax bill of £24.21 this tax year; One investment did a bit too well while I was waiting to put it into my ISA at the start of the year).

One of the two biggest mistakes investors make is to assume that when a share's value has fallen significantly it will recover.
The other is to assume that when a share's value has risen that will continue.
