I would add that, when I stopped my 'run', I banked £50k into my main portfolio (ISA and SIPP) and left the other half here.
Obviously that was a big mistake and by the tie I realised that it was almost 50% down.
Luckily I was able to switch back and continued flipping that back up to where it was.
But that took a lot longer and was more nerve-wracking for it.
Then I withdrew it all and banked that as well.
I've only traded the odd thousand or so here since then.

Hi Stu,
I found the board towards the end of that run.
I credit it with what I've made since I topped the original £100k.
That's reasonably large, but only percentage-wise as I bottled the levels I was investing at when I got over the £100k.
That's a long way above the amount I was comfortable leaving in an AIM company and caused me some sphincter-rash when I realised.
I continued flipping for a while but on a smaller scale (especially here) and diversified those 'bets' across a number of shares, as I do with my main portfolio.
It was only an experiment that worked out for me, but could have gone either way.

This type of 'investing' is higher risk than most and I don't see the value in risking more of my portfolio this way.
I'm retired as well so I would be risking my future financial security too.

Can't argue with that.
I made my profit by trading it too.
But that was three years ago now.
There have been opportunities since but few and far between.
But I won't put any serious cash here any more.
I'm still holding a small amount (£1,000) I bought at 0.18p a few months ago.
Only about £600 now (don't shed any tears, I'm still up +£100k).

I say "sadly" but I get a good laugh from reading their carp and wondering if they really believe it all.

That's a horrible loss to be looking at.
I shall hope for a miracle for you as well.

Don't believe all share dealing is 'high-risk' though.
It's one of those 'subjective' things.
Some risk is higher and some is lower.
Certainly there seem to be greater rewards and deeper pitfalls in the AIM market.
It depends on what you want out of it and where you place your bets.
Diversification is one key way to lower your risk.
We may not like it but we should only invest what we can afford to lose, if things do go wrong.

Started out as an LTH but don't think I count as I rapidly became a 'flipper'.
Even then, I don't have a substantial holding here any more.
Last investment was £1k, which is now worth nearly half of that.

If only they kept getting banned and having to then change their names....
