Looney already said they would comply with all sanctions.
That's why the SP has slipped.
It should be above £5.00.

There is a problem with BP giving up Rosneft though.
It would give capital back to the oligarchs, which defeats the point of the sanctions.

Fortunately I'll still be quids-in on the SP anyway and still getting dividends.

I get so upset by all of my critics, none of whom I know personally and have no evidence they really exist but all of whom fervently believe that I only post just to try and show off to them..
Then I just look at the balance of my portfolio(s) and remember that none of what they post matters.
If anything they justify all of my reasons for posting here.

I am not boasting about my BP holding (or anything I've done with UKOG).
I post it for those who spin UKOG as a money-maker to compare performances.
BP would need to fall to 196p for me to make a loss from the tranche I bought eighteen month ago.
The rest I've held for six years and just bought for the dividend.
(If it fell below 196p, I'd need to sell it to realise any loss).
Basically it seems that you're congratulating me on growing an investment to more than 100% in 18 months.
So thank you for that.

Just fyi - I did buy back in to BP a short while ago as the price fell to 366p I was going to hold for 365 but missed it earlier and chickened out when the yanks had woken up).
As it was for a rather large amount I chose not to buy extra shares on this occasion, but take the profit as cash.
That will serve as a 'B' reserve fund and/or extra Cash-To-Buy, depending on how things pan out.

I have no idea how he's going to get it.
He may go for another placing, I just don't see how he can pull it off any more.

My considered and balanced view is that you're researching this share in the wrong place.
I've made a lot from trading it and lost by holding 50% of that (had to spent the next two years trading to get that all back).
This isn't the type of share you ask for stranger's advice.
If you want to see what kind of replies you'll get, and how many of those might be "balanced", work your way through the threads already here.

Genuinely didn't think this would really happen, or I would have sold more last week.

I'm taking a hit on RR and what I have left of BP - sold about 50% earlier this week and just accepted I may take a loss.
I'd already sold 20% a few days ago and was trying to judge when to buy back in.
Not really sure of the outcome so I'm just going to have to accept it's likely I'll probably get this one wrong and make a loss.
I could buy in again now and still see a 15% (maybe a bit more) profit from when I sold the 20%, but BP still owns 20% of Rosneft....!
The level of sanctions likely to come now may hit BP particularly badly.
