Of more interest is the F4C funding which comprises £2M in the first round and £20M in the second round, which lasts from 2019 to 2021.

Of the £20M second round funding £7M has now been distributed, including the recent £0.5M to VLS.

The remaining £13M is to be divided between LanzaJet UK Limited (now Lanzatech Fuels UK Limited) and Altalto before the end of 2021.

Lanzatech appear to be of somewhat dubious US/Japanese/New Zealand parentage, with little discernible presence in the UK.

Bearing all this in mind, and that Lanzajet appear to be just getting "off the ground" so to speak, and is if anything a foreign competitor to an all UK biofuel plant, I'd say it would be likely that Altalto would receive the majority, if not all the remaining £13M funding from the F4C.

Of course that funding would have to be matched by our side....... enter Shell and BA.

But I think it unlikely that VLS will have any difficulty securing substantial UK government funding between now and the end of 2021, by which time the remaining £13M is to be distributed.

Stunning performance yet again, no. 1 on the 52 week board, followed by ETQ, which incidentally also held 2nd place yesterday.

That should of course be within 48 hours following 22-6.

The TR1 is likely to come in the next 48 hours - maybe even today.

I suspect it will show 14%, and put the matter to rest.

I also suspect GHIF will hold 14%+ in 12 months time.

The 5M is indeed presently unknown - but GHIF is no ordinary fund, with no ordinary backers, so I don't think there will be any pressure to sell.

Indeed they are likely to use their 14% in order to influence the future direction of GDR.

The DIVOC initiative in India is an example of that.

Perhaps the first of many, now the pandemic has moved largely (for the present) to South America and India.

I think, a few days ago, someone mentioned the lack of distribution channels to South America. With the Gates Foundation likely using GDR as one of its vehicles, that is unlikely to be much of a problem.

GHIF has a representative of The Gates Foundation on its board and is one of the vehicles by which The Gates Foundation distributes its funds.

The other is DIVOC Health in India

which has been set up to distribute GDR kits in India. DIVOC is partnered with Lions Head Global Partners which is also a vehicle also used by The Gates Foundation to achieve its aims and objectives.

It ain't difficult to see where this is going.

Maybe the significance of the news yesterday is now been recognised.

Strong into close suggests that we may be able to rise further tomorrow, but maybe not a full 30%/40% as done on each of the last couple of days.

But you never know.

Chart suggests the possibility of amazing times ahead.

I would be surprised if we were a fit for Tesla - automotive/electric vs aviation/biofuel - but then I am constantly surprised by many things, these days.

GHIF now own 14% of GDR.

Maybe they'll seek a place on the board here.

The bond was for $8M.

The amount outstanding as at today was $9.461M.

That is £7.56M at today's rate of £/$1.25.

GDR paid £685K to settle the interest (although it appears that the interest actually accrued was more) which reduces the outstanding balance to £6.88M.

In return for the £6.88M GDR issued 7.1M shares, so GHIF effectively paid 97p for those shares.

So if they expect to make a neat turn on those the share price will have to be much higher than it is now.

I'm sure someone will correct me on the maths if I'm wrong.

We near as dammit hit the placing price of 80p.

Almost back to where we were before the RNS.

If no new shares are sold in the next few months then the cash is a positive as it rules out any further placings for 12 months or so.

Could end up blue!

Not so sure it is great news but GDR is now well cashed up for the future.

Guess it depends on how quickly the 7M shares will be sold.

Going up now so 88p may have been the bottom.

We really do need positive sales news.

BP will take a hit this quarter of up to a $17.5 billion as it abandons oil discoveries and writes down the value of its assets after slashing its oil price forecasts.

The oil giant has reduced its assumption of the Brent crude price from $75 a barrel to $55 because the coronavirus pandemic and the global shift to greener energy would mean lower demand.

The decision follows BP’s pledge in February to eliminate the carbon footprint of the oil and gas it produces by 2050."

All oil major oil companies are likely to follow eventually, including Shell.

Closed at the high today 6.80p - which is a new 52 week high, albeit No. 11 of 11 on the 52 week high list.

Bodes very well and the possibility of being a significant addition to the leader board tomorrow.

Those covid companies which have raised cash appear to be particularly badly hit down 10% to 20%.

Those that have not are down much less 5% to 10% or so.

Some non testing covid stocks are actually up.

Suspect it is just the churn of loose punters with all those placing shares to pass to long term holders.

If there is a second wave - probably guaranteed - then there will be plenty to go round for all covid stocks.

Just seen a headline:-

Doesn't make sense for all the covid stocks to be also down 10%.

If there is a second wave there is bound to be a switchback. Could be vicious.
