Very little risk with the existing well. It will almost certainly do what it has already done during the flow testing.

New wells obviously have some variability in terms of geology and performance but you would expect them to also produce gas from the same source. Different wells often have varying flow performance. Can be better too.

No prizes for guessing what's on the menu for the celebratory meal when they publish Ingomar flow test results shortly after nesting season....

DM last week said they want to go back into Clink1 before the grouse season starts in March. So expect we may get an update on that very soon if they have secured the resources and a plan to do so. I think they expect to do this alongside working on production at Rudyard.

There was some amusing posting about whether the grouse season referred to breeding, nesting or shooting..... but at some point in March it will become an issues to be drilling in that area... perhaps.

Kaeren. That's a really good example of what could be happening. We will never know for sure. But it's important to note I think that there are plenty of reasons for selling that look positive from the sellers perspective.

JH - as I say it just doesn't figure no matter ho I look at it. But yes, flippers it must be. It just seems ridiculous that the only thing stopping this from going up is the one thing that wants to profit from selling it.

I have never been able to work out why a seller pursues selling like this in these circumstances. It seems to defy logic. Why not just stop selling and see the SP rise and then sell at a higher price?? Seems obvious doesn't it.

We cannot know why. I do suspect that the logic above suggests position building rather than just selling? Or is our big seller just reallocating the shares amongst friends or business partners whilst they are cheap. Is there a logical explanation which drives a positive direction from the sellers perspective? are they just desperate for cashflow...

We will never know so best just sit backend relax as the great news comes in and anticipate that the day will come when this re rates upwards.

In his most recent interview DM mentions going back to clink before the March grouse season. It’s clearly high on the agenda.

Let's face it. They got away with the raise today because it was at the current share price. They did very well to secure it at that price considering how tough the market is for raising funds right now.

Any form of funding is dilutive or has similar effect. You can't buy debt without it showing on the balance sheet. So overall this looks like the very best way to do it and move things along with confidence.

Yes JH of course it can fall below but I feel it is now less likely than it was before todays RNS. Like I said - foundations being set in place which support a much higher valuation as we go forwards.

JH - I do think today is way more positive than you suggest. A placing acts like an anchor for the SP. It has moved today. Yes the selling is also a drag on the SP but inevitably this will be better valued as the company progresses. I feel HEX built yet another solid foundation today.

DM reviews some of the numbers published today and calculates an NVP of 76p per share for Rudyard alone.

DM said they want to go back into Ingomar soon. Hopefully before the grouse season starts in March.
