I don't agree with your theory that Woodford is relying on one big winner. From memory, I seem to recall him saying of his biotech stocks he has had many many successes and only one disaster.
Being shorted by a hedge fund who have made negative comments about the company. I think it likely that Neil Woodford will offer his opinion in the coming days.
Your opinion may well be valid, but it's also possible that the directors haven't got addition funds to buy more shares, or that they're content with the exposure they now have in this company.
Has a substantial holding in this company, much of it bought at a price far higher than the current level. That's good enough for me, I'm in this morning.
Too many people treat this like a lottery ticket purchase, they want instant success. I always expected to have to wait some years for a potentially good result.
