Have a look at the chart for last year Noggers. Last year it opened at 622 on ex-divi day and carried on falling for a week to 554 so dropped 68p compared with just 20p today... I'm not saying thats what is happening here but it's certainly food for thought isn't it?
down to 431 now... no such thing as a free divi as I've learnt to my cost before.
Chairman is down £5.8k and non-exec dir down £2.8k in under a week.
Just goes to show you need to make your own mind up... GLA
Yes that's my thinking. I have to say sold on the lift in the first week of october and think it will hit 440 on ex-div. Many HBs are at their lowest ebb since the nasty lows of the 06/07/ and the week after. The divi has been holding up BDEV and it's a heavy ex-divi date so the ftse is going to shift down. May well see panic selling...
Hi JPT, yes I realise that, and it is for the same half year period as the trade statement of 07/07 which gave a good indication of what is to follow... or am I missing something?
Bovis of course gave a trading statement for the period on 7 July. Do you mean more than that?
They are not big in London and so I imagine are still experiencing BAU post brexit...
