Gian. With the company failing to deliver we are left with another write up.

1. I think people have got wise to STs six monthly write ups in the last 3/4 years with his cosy relationship with the board, we get a bounce and fall as what he has written does not materialise.
2. What is needed is kmk to deliver. a good start would be a reversal of the aroc provision on a restart of this contract. Remember this is something the BOD and ST have been silent on after stating it was merely a soon to be reversed little blip.
3. this will rise on orders news. I'll sell then after the rise as I do not believe they will deliver profit / cash from these.

Tracy, there will be a contract but not with an end user. Without a contract (which may be a po referencing ethernity standard t&cs and technical specifications) they cannot recognise revenue.
I have previously said we will hopefully see the major share price gains in 12-18 months when people can see the p&l impact. The next update may be a little disappointing for many as it may just confirm what they are working on, rather than as you say a transformative one off contract.

Firstly wondering whether Fred has done a good job, the non exec role should be at a far less salary and might be just to avoid redundancy costs.
I have always worked in large companies with revenues in the billions, it is a completely different mindset to come and work for a company such as OPTI. Despite issues this is why I respect SOH so much in what he has done in building OPTI to where it is, and more importantly set the foundations to what it can become.
Agreed he has a great CV with a great understanding of partner needs, but he needs to be an entrepreneurial self starter without the level of corporate support he is used to.

With the level of cash they had from the sale it would take a while to deploy, and deploy on decent opportunities.
Just wonder whose decision it was ? But as you say good for remaining sbareholders.

Escape, agree they will focus on strengths to some extent.
As the market grows the nasdaq big boys will not sit on the sidelines and will want a slice, easiest way is a simple takeover - they have more than enough financial firepower.

I have been on a couple of other board where an individual thought they could lead the market, both up and down, in all cases they really didn't have much knowledge of the company or market.
To try to do this on the ENET board, which I believe has a better quality of educated poster with long term holders, is even more stupid.
As a number of posters have said when (hopefully rather than if) this moves we will have more of this, both up and down.

Firstly thanks for your interviews and output, I do find these great at providing a further level of detail.
It is not the CEOs responsibility to teach the basics of running a business, it is partly his responsibility to help understand his business, strategy, operations and market economics.
I do think SOH does a great job in this matter on strategy, as a shareholder I don't want him to be at PI s call for any question. I also understand there are issues on commercial confidentiality.
There are issues I believe with the advice he is getting in some of content of the rnss. The incomplete nature of the 2020 update and our lack of understanding of the materiality of what is missing is problematic.

Trawl, I think about 10 -15 PIs on this board including dallo are at between 15-20%. I believe all recognise where this could go and will not be sellers with a small / medium rise.

The company is still priced virtually as if each of these opportunities have little chance of closing. Each of the opportunities you listed in your prior mail are worth tens of millions of share cap on their own right.
hopefully Looking forward to an update to take the share price to a level of decent profit, then seat belt up for the next couple of years.

With all due respect to you (not being sarcastic as I welcome your detail and jnderstanding) It's up to SOH to explain his thinking to shareholders rather than you, and exactly what has changed from a couple of weeks ago.
I was disappointed with the integrity of update (nothing to do with the numbers), was reassured then with the investor update only for me to backtrack with this - can now see why we ha d the rns yesterday. I don't expect a microsoft level.of investor relations, just some basic consistency would help.

After the investor update just a few weeks ago where soh made categoric commitments that he had no intention to sell any further holdings he does it ?

Really couldn't give a monkies about the value achieved, dividend etc but
1. Starting to doubt SOH integrity with shareholders
2. Does this mean the royalty revenues not agreed at the update are next to nothing?
3. there were no statements that the company was short of cash, what is this being used for?

It's good to know someone else has a more unbalanced portfolio than me.

An update must come out in the next two weeks surely. If they are waiting on order news to add to a 2021 update, surely they can't wait much longer ?

I am surprised that some of this expectation is not built into the share price, even at a 10% or 25% level of probability.
Once we have more certainty, agree this will go through 50p.

I still can't see many institutions getting on board outside a few specialist funds and investment trusts, really hope Herald take a bigger stake and mention it in their commentary but due to their size is immaterial to them.
I hope we will get another 10-20 PIs in all looking to build stakes of about 100k shares for the medium term.

There is a real difference owning shares in non listed companies where there is no active market pricing, and an investment in a liquid listed company where the price is easily understood.

It's good that risk is being spread across products, geographies and partners - some will be take longer than expected to pull in significant revenue, others will fail. It is good to see product extensions with existing partners.
Could still do with the final 2020 numbers though for shareholders to really see where we are.
