The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
They tried, several years ago and prior to the current CEO, to commercialise bioplastic food trays sealed using the RF equipment. I think ASDA did trial it but it never took off....so I’m pleased to see this idea returning and of course actually working.
Wonder if the current lockdown may actually be helpful here. Hundreds of millions worldwide not getting their daily Costa/Starbucks fix. Maybe lots more coffee pods are being purchased for home use? At current SP, this could be a very good entry price.
Where did you hear 11p Harry?
Exactly the answer I was expecting. When asked to state something positive about the company, you will not. I wonder what that could mean about your purpose here? Well done China and thanks.
No, but that’s not advice...it’s a question I’d hope you’d answer. No worries if you are not willing.
China Given your strong dissatisfaction with NvS performance to date, what factors have kept you from selling? What potential do you see? I’m really not suggesting you should sell, as I still believe there is massive upside here and want all of us to make money. Cheers Sketty
Hi China Would you mind expanding upon your point earlier re: being mindful of bickering and how it affects new posters”? ie how do you think it affects them? Cheers Sketty
The only 2 reasons I can now believe for China’s repetitive posting are 1. He’s trying to deramp and induce sells from weak holders to buy in cheaper, or 2. He’s totally lost the plot and sits at home with underpants on his head, pencils up his nose saying “wibble”. The reality is, I agree with his disappointment of missed target dates..We all want to be rich sooner rather than later. I just don’t get the repetition. Who is the audience for this message?
Hi China What benefit to the share price do you expect to see by, rather consistently, showing potential investors things are not running to time? Your comments seem factually correct but I don’t see how stating them is helping the SP any....and surely you want the SP to go up?
Ahhhh, got you....yes should be 25% discount to get to 75% of current copper price. Thanks for correcting. All the best
Hi China
Where did you hear 25%? I could well have missed something, but in the November investor call, an investor asked Nick if 50% would be a good estimate.....Nick wouldn't confirm this but suggested the investors conservative approach to this was correct.....
Cheers
Hi All
All things being well, we could see an update next week to say the CSD plant is producing copper/cobalt concentrate.
I remember seeing an estimate for potential revenue a few weeks ago from another poster, but seemed a little on the high side....so thought I'd add my own thoughts too.
So, if initial throughput is 10,000 Tonnes per month, at an estimated 80% recovery and 2% grade of copper equivalent, we should be producing 160 T copper/cobalt concentrate per month.
Revenue at 50% Discount for Concentrate:-
If we allow a 50% discount to the current price of copper for the fact we are producing a concentrate, that would be around $3100 per Tonne.
160 Tonnes x $3100 = $496,000 = £382,000
ARCM share @ 66% = £252,000 per month.
Revenue at 75% Discount for Concentrate:-
If we allow a 75% discount to the current price of copper for the fact we are producing a concentrate, that would be around $4650 per Tonne.
160 Tonnes x $4650 = $744,000 = £573,000
ARCM share @ 66% = £378,000 per month.
So my guess for annual revenue is between £3 million and £4.5 million.
Obviously there has been assumptions in these calculations that may prove incorrect!
Looking forward to the update anyway and hopefully we may get an idea on expected costs per tonne, to enable profitability estimates.
Hi Jofan NvS said he was expecting assay results middle to the end of August/early September. I would say it’s take your position time or potentially miss out. Visible mineralisation in early core samples and expected to be greater than initial estimates of 16 Mt. All the best Sketty
Great, obviously missed that! Thanks. Let’s hope revenue is still going in the right direction. I think we are under valued when compared to SYM, so some good numbers again could see us re-rate.
Hi Parpaing. At least they are now a lot more active on Twitter. Shame this info was “semi hidden” though. I’m guessing we won’t hear anything new from them until the September update, but will be happy to be proved wrong.
I've discovered a couple of interesting tweets from June that Biome have "liked".
1. The first one from Meachers showing Biome have doubled their R & D space, which could suggest an increase in customer requests for product design.
https://meachersglobal.com/news/new-research-unit-innovative-southampton-bioplastics-company/
2. The second is a tweet suggesting Biome are assessing the potential for a 50,000 tonne plant in York. Perhaps this could be for industrial scale up using Lignin as the feed stock? They've got around £2.4 million in the bank so could go some way to funding this.

This looks promising to me.
Good to hear Nick say he will add more shares to his holding in any “weakness”....how much more of a sign do you need?
