Question is though sandancer if the biggest short on this share is trimming do they have complete confidence in what they are doing? If they really had information that none of us are privy too wouldn't they be going all out? or maybe they are gambling just as much as everyone else?

Up a nice 4% from the buy this morning. lets see if we can move up to 30p

Whether you are ramping this share or shorting this definitely feels today like the calm before the storm. No matter how convinced a short is on this share there has to be an element of fear at this level at the potential loses

If shorts have reduced at a loss that's green light for me. All a gamble at the moment but my feelings are pragmatically, rather than an extreme negative or positive RNS, if we get a middle of a road RNS saying they have received payments and making progress on preparing asset sales then we could see 40p very quickly. I've just invested another few thousand at this level. make your own choices

Paul curtis, Im not really interested in your predictions. Try facts. What assets are petrofac looking to sell? what's the leverage on those assets? I already have the answer: you dont know! Everyone albeit shorts or investors are taking a gamble on this share so please dont pretend to be an oracle

Just to point out to Paul Curtis, the simple truth is although you present a veil of all knowing wisdom when it comes to petrofac, you actually have no idea what assets they are even referring to in regards to the sale, and therefore have no idea how much those assets are leveraged? Makes the short position very dangerous

So my prediction on the next RNS: positive RNS drops in the next two weeks stating petrofac are making positive progress on preparing for the sale of assets. That combined with more positive contract news should be enough for the shorts to feel like the ground is swallowing them up..

Id much rather be a buyer than short at this level! GLA

One thing is for certain glowaki: we are now 10% up from the bottom last week which will cost the shorts a lot of money to bring it down again. When they do i will buy again

Onwardsnupwards Im hoping your analysis of a possible update is the correct one, because that will make this share a potential minefield for shorts. It means at anytime over a 9 day period an RNS could drop and bankrupt the smaller entities taking a gamble on this failing. At this point i feel much more confident on taking a gamble at success and have topped up again this morning. Good luck all

Ivor, if a positve RNS comes through we could be going a lot higher than 40p straight away. question is will the smaller firms shorting this share be able to risk staying at this level until the 20th of February? The other question is what deals is aidan de brunner overseeing to shore up the finances?

I dont think the writer spent more than five minutes scanning google to create that. if you are going to make an argument for taking a position, negative or positive, then do some research and back it up with facts

Im not so sure if you were wrong buying at 29p SM66. the firm trying to bring down the price at the moment dont seem to have much fire power. struggling to keep it below 28p.
