Boom, I apologise my remarks were harsh but not unfounded. look back through the charts. I dont need to; because I've made a lot of money several times over with this share in the same scenario and yet again before christmas I kept on reiterating to buy as it dropped lower and lower and yet again the price doubled. History repeating from the last refinancing a couple of years ago. I personally feel this will be chipped away at and then yes there will be a huge bounce back, not a well planned exit by the shorts.

A lot of talk on here about THG. The fact that anyone can compare The Hut Group as a business to Petrofac immediately marks them out as moron. THG do not have an 8 billion order book and yes there will be a short squeeze. I watched it happen with the Tennet deal and it will happen again. People make out that the shorts are all seeing. they gamble just as much as private investors. GLA

Sub 30p today? be interesting to see if the shorts follow their previous pattern on buying back on the friday each week

Doesnt seem like the shorts are closing at the moment and because of that i think they are going to keep chipping away at the price until the next big news on this share. Im holding and will be buying more if it drops sub 30p. good luck all

The directors didnt buy shares last time poker chips but they did invest in the refinancing. thats why they dont want to do a share offering and why there will be no dilution!

On the last refinancing deal i believe the directors did buy in. In some ways it feels very convenient the directors all have the opportunity to buy in at record lows before the expected big contracts in the pipeline. Maybe im too cynical but would be great sign for all holders

And a further 84% surge in 2021 in september 2021. the potential profits on this share within 6 months are staggering once the refinancing is signed off

And further to that in the exact same short play in 2021 the bounce back was 51% over two months between march and may! Show me the money!

I agree Bayobach that i don't expect a huge shift tomorrow and it helps the shorts to try and project terminal decline in this share. For anyone who is under the illusion this share is in terminal decline i would look at the link provided by Bayobach. The shorts played exactly the same game back in 2021 when again petrofac were refinancing. When i say exactly the same they literally had the same volume of shares out on loan. The bounce back was huge! good luck all

I don't think the shorts know anything we don't. The refinancing isnt going to happen immediately, its going to take time and negotiations and the shorts will play on that. the only question is when they pull out. For me this is now a long-term investment and i will continue to accumulate

thanks whoever posted the original link to this article earlier. If we get some positive news on the 20th any short position will be destroyed. Some really promising options in that article that could be game changing for Petrofac.

I expect another 20% rise tomorrow. just my opinion based on trading patterns. Good luck all

Shorters in the squid game; great idea Mary! They will need to take any money they can get after the next few days of trading.

My own opinion is that we are going to see further significant movement upwards tomorrow. At least one firm shorting this stock tends to jump out on a friday going by previous patterns, and with the 20th so close they will need to be suicidal to jump back in again on monday. That being said, if they do on monday try and bring the price down for one final attack i will be looking to make further buys.

Up 8% from the bottom this morning. Id be concerned if I was shorting this share right now. Either way I'm a long-term holder so makes no odds to me

I disagree. there's a bunch of cling-on shorts following the main player and they are most certainly likely to get burnt with greed. If this share moves at the rate after the Tennet deal I suspect a fair few of the trolls will disappear with their tail between their legs. At the moment the odds at this price are much more likely to shoot up then drop further and increasing by the day

Im increasing my holding, no chance of selling. My target price is £1.25. Currently just above a 40p average. If any idiot trying to short this share thinks Im going to give up that kind of profit they must be smoking something
