The enduser data (EV purchases) suggests a massive increase in demand for lithium in Europe. So I am hanging on in 3 lithium mines.
Sincere apologies. Earlier I compared EV fuel costs versus petrol engine. Based on costs in Ireland. Just discovered that UK electricity costs are 70%+ higher. No wonder we have so many EVs.
The maths: my 1lt. Petrol car costs €13.10 /100 kms. Versus my EV at €3.20. if you are not in Euroland please convert to £/miles . It's the same result .
Osaka, well said! I have saved 70% on my fuel costs since I bought an EV last year. Only downside is that my wife keeps taking the car. Also , my insurance is down 20% and road tax down 66%. Please tell me where I went so wrong?
Ironknut, feel free to call me nieve but maybe, .....just maybe , some of us want to make a material contribution to climate change on behalf of our grandchildren.
Just heard on Irish radio that 49% of all cars sold in January were EVs, PHEVs or Mild Hybrid . If this is representative of Europe ....where's it all going to come from? Now a 6 month waiting list.
I have never seem such high trading volumes in one day. Must be something big about to occur.
I have been here since 2017 and intend to stay until 2025+++. Anyone paying attention to predicted exponential growth of EV's etc. in Europe should do the same. In my opinion most car rental firms will move to EV's soon. How many batteries is that?
It's only January and looking at the EV sales in Europe so far it seems to me that 2022 should be 'takeoff' year for all things electric. We also have exponential growth in electric bikes etc. etc. I cannot understand why, even without DFS and offtake agreement, both SAV and EMH share price is just a fraction of NPV at this stage. Any explanation will be appreciated.
