The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I find the shorting here rather fascinating as I think its a group of hedge funds hitting all small health care/bio stocks that have run up a lot over Covid. This co ordinated approach does happen and I experienced it for 10 years with NWBO where all smaller companies running trails where targeted. (often illegally in my opinion )and, looking back now it was a good strategy regarding time scale with them and their balance sheet .
We have money though.
Where are the institutions that invested recently , surely the value equation is through the roof at this price.
The shorter’s justification will be most will fail and go bust .Even if some make it , the other profits will cover the occasional lose.
( this battle is going on now as , after 13 years NWBO have announced data lock)
Ive really taken a hit here and am guilty perhaps of not researching enough and making small money when it hit that high level on the 31/7.It went from 6 dollars to 12 then back to 6. Just weird.
Luckily I can be patient and this COVID thing isn’t going away . I also think treatments rather than vaccines will be the answer to getting people back to normality.
I hate pluging stocks on other boards but NWBO are about to data lock and results will be know in 2 months. Facinating story full of intrigue/greed/average management/but I think a great science that could revolutionise solid tumour cancer.
Prof Keyoumars Ashkan who is a very respected neurosurgeon at Kings Collage, who has been treating people with it for 8 years both as part of trail and compassionate treatment is calling out for its approval.High level praise indeed.
Nice to see this having a great day . Well done longs
Well done longs
CytoDyn: UK MHRA grants meeting to discuss fast track approval of leronlimab as treatment for COVID-19 patients
4:25 PM ET 9/2/20 | Briefing.com
CytoDyn announced today the Medicines & Healthcare product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) of the UK government requested a meeting with CytoDyn on September 9 to discuss the company's request for Fast Track approval of leronlimab to treat COVID-19 patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms based upon the trial's top-line Report and additional eIND data. On the suggestion of the MHRA, CytoDyn will submit its current Phase 3 CD12 study for severe-to-critical COVID-19 patients in the UK to the Urgent Public Health Research scheme to receive possible financial support from the trial sites and the government, if the UPH deems the company's CD12 trial an urgent health issue. In addition, the US FDA advised the company that the agency has scheduled a Type A meeting on September 8, following the company's receipt of the agency's written responses on September 1 concerning it Biologic License Application (BLA) for leronlimab as a combination therapy for highly treatment-experienced HIV patients. The FDA clarified the items it needed primarily related to dosage levels.
Just coming on to post that , well done.Certainly an area of massive growth if they can execute their business plan.
I think the flu Jab is only About 50 percent effective In Elderly people and needs To be given Of course once a year .
It should slow / stop infection of course
How quickly it can be delivered and manufactured is certainly not clear . Hard to be optimistic
Treatments and better drugs remain a far more realistic solution in my mind
Fingers crossed ??
pleasantly surprised to see it open at 27 offered this morning, managed to get some for my ISA and Ig account.
Only liquidity could come from profit taking but the situation has changed so favourably.
Some funds have a nice profit from the 12 p range.
I wonder if they will raise money again, does anybody have a view there ? I must admit to not following the tidal power too closely and wondered whether there may be a need to raise to cover some developments there.
A bit old but an insight as to the cost of closing, building coal powered fire stations and what a cheap alternative we are .Getting excited about the morning.

Trying to look at Gloucester waste to energy plant costing 650 million pounds .
Uses 19,000 tonnes of waste a year . We are 900,000 tonnes but I think half non recyclable plastics etc.
They produce 116,000 MW hours all I can find on us is 220 MW can someone explain ?
The cost benefits are staggering although We are not as environmentally friendly of course . Anyone like to add some data here as I haven’t done it justice . Every now and then you come over an investment opportunity that just seems too good to be true .
worth a read to show just how many coal-fired stations there are. Many being built and more interestingly, many being decommissioned.

Bears in charge in the US . I think they are hitting all shares that have gone up recently or are volatile as they know the fast money holders will sell . I don’t think it’s share specific just across the board . Look at CYDY same . Good news but just pummelled. I think a few big hedge funds are working together to sell everything . They might lose a few bit will profit on the majority . Too much over valued .
5/5.18 in the states in 100 shares in ETRADE
Happy to be holding a few and thank you for the enthusiasm on twitter.
BUT
Its just trade finance isnt it, and everyone I know who does that doesnt make any money on it.
This seems better, as possibly less credit risk with inventories than an overall balance sheet .
Having brokered islamic finance once, I do see an opportunity here with short term Murabaha transactions.Billions of dollars of trade finance documentation are used and have been for many years .
However , if I am right the inventories lists are going to be hard to document for. Presentation was terrible on proactive investors I could not understand a word. Well done all that are in profit.
Yes , very disappointing and no big partner which is what I was hoping for . They need one in the power station space to be taken seriously . I dreamed of Mitsubishi coming in. Naive on my behalf .
Another one for the bottom draw and big paper loss position . Let’s hope they can get things moving .
Good points regarding vaccine . Expensive , tough to deliver and don’t work that well in older people . IE the people that die
This is possibly a once in a life time opportunity for longs . I repeat if this was listed in the States it would be multiples higher . It will get there
I haven’t done the maths BUT
This trail was older more vulnerable patients .
If these numbers are correct , and they probably are .
The death rate could go down to flu numbers
That opens up economic activity again globally . That is the value.
With luck and a good wind many of our lives can be transformed by this holdings . Opportunities don’t often come along this good .
??
YOu make a great point regard vaccines. I have thought for a while, this vaccine market is so overpriced. Expensive, hard to administer and let face it, in the most vulnerable I.E old people vaccines don't work that well anyway.
If this was US listed we would be over 1/2 billion today.
Look at cytoDyn 2.8 billion market cap, been over 5 and will go there again if they got results the same as being shown here today.
I think a great play would be to short all vaccine producers in the world, I see treatments as the answer. Well done earlier holders.I don't see this stopping at 1 pound.
I seem to have been caught off guard a little here with some hefty purchases in the 20 pees. The opportunity is very good but I guess unproven. I think the biggest issue with the time delay is they will need to raise money and prices are moved by bigger players that will be involved perhaps in any future raise.
The data centre seems strange, the project is either efficient or not in producing electricity, does it matter if its powers a data or goes to the grid.
I think they need a partner, perhaps Mitsubishi would take a stake. It would put them on the next level.
fingers crossed for some share price relief despite it being, of course, a long term hold.
Sorry, I am being lazy . Are there patents son this sort of tech, or are they juts first movers
