Honest appraisal by Mike Palmer.19 Feb 2018 08:59
The man at the operational front-end has spoken. We asked for an honest appraisal and we've got it. This is a sensible appraisal with sensible goals and visible and achievable milestones. All investors knew this was a difficult and unpredictable journey. The rewards are extremely high for success hence the desire to 'be on board'. The oil pressures in the Zardab interventions justify the optimism that the rewards are indeed 'substantial'. Yes, the interventions are difficult and unpredictable but Zenith are learning as they go and assembling and using experience-driven equipment. Short-term investors have small patience and big opinions and should perhaps look elsewhere for their adrenaline-fed excitement. For those invested in the big-picture scenario and seeing the rewards on a further horizon then any dips can be used to average down. Everyone, especially Mike Palmer, is frustrated at set-backs, but at least he understands the causes and has experience to address and overcome those obstacles. His resolve and optimism is tangible.....he will bring these Maverick eels on stream at good rates. It's an unfolding story and a long road with lots of bends but the destination is probably worth the wait as the workovers accelerate during 2018.
