You are right of course in theory, but the EU have made their bed. It's harder to get 27 members to then change their minds about a free trade deal without the withdrawal agreement.
At the end of the day its a mess and has been handled appallingly by too many partisan players. But we are where we are, and the best thing to do is rip the plaster off. Yes it will be painful, but handled correctly we have the potential to be in far better place a few years down the road.

Wonder if FM has potentially brought forward the JSE listing so he could then initiate a buyback programme? This would get SA investors in cheap, and then a buyback programme coinciding with JSE listing should rapidly advance the SP causing shorts to close frantically - in this perfect storm the SP would climb dramatically.. I can but hope! Just my (hopeful) opinion
