RE: Lack of testing is killing us.20 Oct 2020 02:07
Hi Libero. I completely agree with you. I have family in Cebu. Their local government office deals with track and trace and provides daily updates from the mayors office on how many infections each day, how many recoveries, the area where each case lives. No one breaks quarantine. In addition the households have a card which allows them a specific day or two per week when they can shop and limited to one or maybe two persons per household. In a town where the people are closely living. together there are now days when no cases are reported. They also had travel restrictions between towns but that would be hard to police here. Also everyone and I mean everyone wears a mask. You also cant just waltz into the country with the virus as everyone tested on arrival and quarantined until results available. UK has completely blown this and its budget. Local councils or health services should have done this from the start and managed their own areas albeit with set guidelines. Looking forward to rapid tests and maybe some improvement following their introduction.
