Daisy, I stated in my previous post that the SP has doubled since July and that anyone who has been invested since then has had a very significant return. However, you chose to ignore what I said and state instead that the SP has doubled since inception nearly five years ago. Well let's just take that in for a minute. Are you seriously trying to suggest that if you had invested lets say £10K five years ago and your investment is now valued at £20K, that equates to a poor return?! Any cash invested in a savings account over the last five years would have produced virtually nothing and there are plenty of stocks out there which would have resulted in zero or even negative growth. You have already stated that you are in profit so what is the issue exactly?
If you check my previous posts you will see that I have predicted precisely nothing. On a downward spiral? The SP has doubled since July. Anyone who has been in since then will have done extremely well so no big surprise that there's been some profit taking. Anyway I thought you had left this forum?
Fantastic news. Strange that last night's posts on here were deleted. It just goes to show that it's always better to trust your own judgment and not listen to the constant negativity of some of the contributors to this forum. This company is clearly going places.
A further trading update is due at the end of May. At that stage I assume we might get an indication as to the current state of play with regards profit/loss with audited accounts following at end of June?
Daisy - You have now said that the company has not delivered and you are not prepared to wait another 3-6 months but you have previously said that you are not selling until you reach your target. I don't know what your target is but that might yet be achieved in the next 3-6 months! If you are not prepared to wait why don't you sell now? I don't get it.
Daisy - You have just seen a 25% increase in the SP and you're still not happy? No sign of any further business added? The BOAGF has doubled in the last 12 months and we were told in the RNS dated 2nd February that Providence has increased it's balance sheet assets so on the face of it further business and AUM has been added. What will it actually take for you to start being just a little more positive?
Daisy - you have previously stated that you won't be selling until you have reached your target price in which case you clearly still believe that the company will deliver, If you didn't you would have walked away by now. Why therefore do you persist with the negativity and what exactly do you think that will achieve? I just don't get it.
This board isn't policed by anyone other than the moderators. The SP has gone down due to a lack of news from the management team. The business model is to build AUM which they are doing. If you're not happy then i suggest you might want to invest your money elsewhere.
Yes the lack of news is damaging to the share price and it's not unreasonable to expect regular updates but I am happy to give GS and the management team the benefit of the doubt. It was mentioned in the last RNS that the Providence Life Assurance fund was performing well so we should see an increase in AUM when results are announced. Building AUM is the business plan after all. It was also stated that the company has made strategic advances in both business segments. I think we should wait and see what the results are in April before passing judgment.
Daisy - we won't need to wait another year as the next set of audited results are due sometime before 30th April. Assuming we don't get an update from GS over the next few weeks, the results will obviously give us a better idea of how the company is performing. He has already indicated that Providence Life Assurance has increased it's balance sheet so assuming the BOAGF has also added more value we can expect an overall increase in AUM.
I agree Rambo, I have been a holder for over 2 years now. Something I have noticed is that the SP often seems to be influenced by negative sentiment (and indeed positive sentiment) on forums such as these. I am not sure why anyone would want to potentially damage the value of their investment by posting negative comments. Like everyone, I am a little frustrated by the lack of news but I still believe in the business model. If I didn't I would have sold up a long time ago.
