Reading overt the posts for the last few days and noticable abscence of BV, with robday is taking up the slack.. Maybe BV is on holidays..

Havent seen anythig form Adrian in a while either or else just not familiar with his aliases anymore.

there is no question re heat pumps in uninsulated buildings, they dont work.. a heat pump operates on the same premise as a fridge or freezer but heats instead of cools.. if you leave the fridge door open, it burns energy and doenst keep the fridge cool. heat punps in an uninsulated house is the same.. but new stock is well insulated and old stock will be either be retrofitted or demolished & replaced over time.. IMO electrical looks to be the nailed on route for buildings going forward, transport seems to have a less definitive forward path..

I think i read that the geothermal project is intended to produce electricity.. If suitable ground conditions exist it can be used to produce steam (directly or indirectly) to drive a turbine.. Not a new technology by any means, just reusing a proven & old tech and repalcing the fossil fuel buring to create steam by extracting heat form the ground to create it. its a system that exists and in use already. It would be a hight upfront captial project with a long pay back period compared to solar or wind , its advantage over the other two is in its consistent output regardless of weather and arguably less of a visual impact on the environment..

if angus had a stockpile of money from SFB with no home for it, then maybe a venture worth considering, but they dont..

Also after how badly they got the cost projections wrong for SFB, i dont think you could really trust their evaluation or projections. really they bneed to tidy up their house and either develop or abondon the exisitng assets before heading off on geothermal..

I agree BP with with the exisitng assets, even if they had to take on some debt or roll over part of the existing loan to do so. exploiet or abandon but 9 million loan to go exploring for the next big thing, in my opinion, is not prudent..

In a reply to post on here about a month ago, i said, in my opinion, the market was less excited about what angus would do next and more worried, for the reasons they have given for needing a loan of 9 million, at loan shark rates, with a significant cash generating asset..

Prudent management would get to calmer waters and steady the ship, before taking off on the next voyage..

they cant do a placing from these levels and generate significant cash,GL has trippled the number of shares since he has come on board.. They would have placed if the share price had held up, it didnt, so they went back to wonga for more money.

you would not mind the behind the scenes stuff on the "next big thing" as much if you could believe anything that they issue or GL says. But you cant..

I cant see anything here to lift the SP, Gl will either dilute into any rise, PF sell into any rise or if the SP doesnt rise they will load the company with debt to make sure it doesnt..

I dont see the hope here for shareholders at the minute..,

They wont. As i feared, they think they have made a success of SFB instead of getting extremely lucky and are now borrowing at extroniate rates against future earnings in a volitile market for another "project".

the defered hedge that was not going to cost any thing ("upfront") is looking very expensive now..

If they had any interest in shareholders interest, they would have concentrated on getting the debt down and the share price up.. the interest saved on the loans would fund a nice bit working capital.

Debt paid down by xmas, special dividend, increase Mcap to get II interested in the company.. snake oil salemans is all GL is..

I agree HITS.. BV used to be somewhat rational but a lot less so recently.

Seem to have taken up the slack since adrian seems to be absent.

I understand they need to develop to grow and find income streams of off set the depleting field.

i think there is a concern as to what road they go down to do so.

Not sure how long you are here as i only drop in occassionally, but BV is a waste of time.. they wont entertain anything other than ultra positive statements about the company and attacke the poster rather than counter the point..

I think your wrong in your statement "The really interesting thing will be to see what Angus do next.".. i think that is the concern & the worry..

Despite the nonsense replies this post will recieve, Angus & Gl managed SFB terribly.. their cost & timeline projections were way out, they over promised & under delivered and were not transparent in their communications throughout, covid can excuse some but not all of it... the increased Gas prices is what saved the SFB project and has made it the success it is today.. maybe they knew the high prices were coming but in my opinion it was dumb luck..

i think there is a fear lessons have not being learned and they try the same thing again with geothermal and that the lightning (luck) might not strike twice..

You also have Labour promising to block new Domestic O&G if they get power and there is a good chance they could..

i think the market is cautious rather than excited to see what angus do next.

I am of the same opinon re news and excitement, hence i think the accounts will be the next thing to give a bit of lift to the SP.

I understand your point about it being luck on the entry & exit, but i dont think any harm to see what the more reasoned posters here are thinking either. Historically, there are some on here that have provided good information and food for thought.

Certainly agree enough people have been taken in by angs. and dont bother with the rampers or commenting here much anymore..

as you mentioned the accumulating & entry pointed and previously you said you believe it will be lower thant its current price (1.40's), do you mind if i aske where you think the floor is or what your entry point is?

I am underwater at the minute, and was previously out with approx + 40%, but that took 4 yrs and multiple averaging down.. angs was a disproportinate % of my portfolio but i got lucky & it worked in the end..reluctant to go back down that road again, but was thinking of averaging down in expectation of a bounce for the accounts.

BV is head of the GL & Angs cheerleadering squad.. they will not accept any criticism of the him, the company or the nonsense that is put out in interviews or RNS's, be it reasonable or not.. it is really a compliment & validation fo yoru crediability to have him attack you!

I think a lot on this board are frustrated because they were reading the nonsense on here of an SP being 5p - 10p (& higher from the truly derranged) for the last 12 to 18mths and it has only managed to break the 2p mark for a few weeks in that period.. They also took our lord and saviour GL word as gospel with nonsense of debt paid by christmas, dividends, producing dates and applauded the multiple dilutions of the company.. etc..

As you & hits have pointed out, the drama & potential for a quick spike has dissipated. The calm isnt attracting attention of the market. and, while i dont follow as close as i used to, there doesnt seem to be any impending news or developments on the way with the other assets at the moment & gas prices are stabilising so improved accounts look like being the next known driver for the SP
