Very interesting that they said it was forced on them.. obviously they didnt want to unwind and obviously they expectation was for lower gas prices..

i agree with this OP. I asked the question with the great unwinding of the hedge, why did mecuria agree to it? we are not dealing with charities, those providing the finance want their return regardless. Angus are backed into a corner as regard needing new finance and the potential lenders know this, there are probably few that are willing to take the risk on lending to angus so those that do engage with them have no reason not to make the most of it.

as i said at the time that statement was published, it is very positive, but completely speculative and they were never going to publish anything negative anyway. We were going to get positivity or silence..

But there is nothing certain or definitive in the statement as positive as it sounds..

if anything, the "at least in principle", could be inferred as they are not anywhere near an agreement in securing a finance package if it is going to take 6 weeks to get it to the "in principle" stage.

If Singhies forecast turned out to be correct, in 12 months time the share price will have recovered to the price is was 12 months ago from now..

Malcy also liked all GL's decisions that have led to the massive dillultion, drowning in debt and the share price on the floor.

Malcys liking it wouldnt be inspiring me with confidence.

i dont see how that is a fact.. they clear state they dont "expect" to do it, as per your early post..

using the word expect means the there is a probablility that the alternative could happen.

It may be very small probability but to say "no debt repayment in shares instead of refinance" is a fact is incorrect.

Millstone or yoke would be two I am familiar with.. never heard of an albatross.

The top of the investors question page (beside the orange box to submit question) had the further questions to be answered by the 3rd after they posted the questions and answers on the 2nd October..

They have Recently changed it to say some additional questions were answered the 3rd October RNS..

I mean Works are one thing with unknowns, multiple variables etc that can change time lines but answering these questions is within their control & they are setting their own time lines.

Its a best apathy towards shareholders and at worst contempt.

Considering they are meant to be turning the ship around and trying to repair their reptutaion this is an easy one to get right and deliver on time.

it wont repair their reputation to deliver these answers when they said they would, but not doing so just reinforces the narrative of new faces, same unreliability

I understand what you have posted gallder as it makes sense. its the wording of the RNS and the Why Mecuria would agree to it that concerns me.

I think it is open to interpretting it as the 3q24 close price is 1.266 and no fix price for the Unwound 50% of the hedge volume.
