Cbaron..
i just dont see why you and tony feel the need to pose the negatives more or less every day.it just doesnt add up.
its as if you both are self appointed arbiters of what is and isnt correct about pantheon and what can or cannot be said, yet at the same time claiming to be
long.
putting aside the obvious obstacles the company needs to overcome and whether people feel pantheon will ever produce commercial oil or not, there is at least some evidence that keeps some of us longs interested and hopeful enough to continue with our long suffering in the hope that our patience will pay off.
i for one and happy to leave the experts within the company to do their thing but i believe the company is and has failed in one very obvious opportunity and that is telling the story of the potential of their leases to a wider audience, beyond a small band of AIM investors.
i am not talking about the oil companies but a global investor audience that to this point has no idea that pantheon even exist.
stating the obvious, oil is now the global centre of attention for all economies and industries.
it dominates channels like cnbc and bloomberg[both of which have more or less global access.
i could easily imagine that both channels would climb over each other to interview the chairman and ceo of a fledgling company that could/may/potentially[all necessary caveats]be sitting on the largest onshore oil discovery of 2022 and consequently, again with caveats, the largest onshore discovery in the usa in a decade or more.
i am an avid viewer of both channels and they love stories that are relevant to current issues, especially a story that is largely unknown.
now i am not saying they ramp themselves nor provide advice to the viewers, but just tell the story, assuming they are permitted by regulators.
people want to hear these strories.they dont want to be bored with endless vanilla analysts talking about the magnificent 7,they want to hear about something fresh and exciting, especially when the location of the leases are in north america and on state lands.
pantheon needs to be a global story not a small time company.
m and a opportunities are shrinking in the shale patch and the majors are to a large extent only able to keep their own forward production estimates stable or higher because of m and a rather than finding great new discoveries.ok,so maybe exxon and chevron have been bolstered by guyana but tell me where the other great global discoveries are.
now more than ever usa oil cos have to look beyond shale and a global listening audience needs to be educated to that fact..ask yourself this,if pantheon were interviewed by both bloomberg and cnbc,do you think people would switch channels or be glued to their screens, soaking up every word of what max and m spencer could say.
again,it wouldnt change whether pantheon ultimately succeed or not but if a wider audience created greater share price
