I wonder which will come first. Zinnwald feasibility study, or the signing of the Gangfeng deal.
Lithium plant news is more to do with Bacanora Lithium (Bcn), of which kdnc owns 2.77% of. Gangfeng lithium have bought a 30% stake in the company, subject to normal approval of Chinese government.
17.5?
D = 157.5 doesn't it?
This is worth a watch. https://t.co/RgeCV2RoF0
Ev west, who specialise in putting electric drivetrains in old cars.
Nothing really to do with kdnc, but the enthusiasm for ev’s are growing exponentially. Hundreds of comments about how great it is.
I really feel we are at the tipping point if mass adoption.
6 months? This is a share for the next 10 years! A fortune is about to be unlocked.
Not into technicals either, but I would say from a chart perspective, the last two runs at 30 were from a much lower starting point (20 and 22p respectively). A run from 20 to 30 is a 50% increase in shareprice. Traders have done well out if the swings so far.
However, if we have another run at 30p From the current shareprice of 28p (the asking price), you are looking at a 10% gain. A 50% increase from here will take us over 40p. A nice base has formed at these prices, despite the derampers screaming about 25p.
Strong start to the week. Hopefully the news has been digested and we now have a solid platform to move forward on.
You mean buy 29.9%, which gets their foot in the door, gives them chance for a bit of due diligence, and then bang, takeover. The fact that the bod, Hanwa and the institutions all paid around 80p a share, I don’t imagine they would get it at these levels would they?
Take a look at a normal funding deal, like what has happened at sirius minerals. Share price from mid twenties down to 15p. Share price reaction pretty good here imo. We have a base to build on now.
The mine will almost certainly be built, producing 100s of millions in profit in a couple of years.
I think we have to come to terms with the fact that getting money for Lithium mines is really hard! Especially ones that are trying to extract lithium from soft rock/clay or whatever you want to call it.
Now if Peter Secker had raised a few million at 25p per share from some hatchet job institution, then I could see why people would be moaning. I would have personally sold the instant the rns landed!
But the value the Gangfeng bring isnt the money they are putting in, its their commitment to help bring this mine to fruition. They have experienced engineers waiting to come on board, contacts to get plant equipment cheaper, and commitments to supply Volkswagen and god knows how many others.
They are not going to mess about. I think we are heading straight to a 35,000 ton mine, and Mr Secker was talking about that being expanded to 50,000.
Unfortunately, the rns and subsequent shareholders call did not have quite enough info in it, and that is why the share price is not moving. But its just a taster of what is to come. Maybe they shouldnt have released the rns until the deal was finalised, but at least we know now for certain that things have indeed being going on in the background.
Very interesting article, I am going to have a good read soon. He tweeted about the deal, and somebody mentioned about him not liking “clays”, but he said with some of the smartest people in the lithium space working on them, he is now a fan. And we are not digging up clay in that sense. Soft rock is definitely the correct term, as per Peter Seckers clarification at the mining conference.
Agree about the time scale. I can’t see the Chinese hanging about. All permits and licenses are in place, so they just have to do what the Chinese do. Build and manufacture. Has anybody seen how fast the Tesla Gigafactory has gone up in China?
I like that sonora is listed on the map, and that the success of sonora so far is encouraging other companies to explore similar geological systems. It should make our project ever more viable as other companies do their research. Hopefully though we will be well on out way to be up and running as other companies release their pfs’s.
Agreed we need news, and spikes come down as quickly as they go up, hence the term spike. But the share price is constantly settling at higher lows. If we can break 30, I would hope that would form a new base price and we can start moving uo from there.
Thats The difference between zinwald and Cinovec. The Germans are going to actively encourage companies, while emh has been mired by doubts that the government will try and take the lot.
And is if by magic! Up it goes. I was going to comment on the bid price, but I think it is only those 3 buys from 10:30 onwards, and they only amount to about £1000. The ones later in the day a at a higher price so more likely buys.
Have you considered the fact the internal combustion engine is only 30% efficient in your calculations? Remember that 1 l of diesel only gives around 3 kw/h of energy at the wheels, from a potential of around 10 kwh. It also takes a lot of electricity to refine fuel, so we wont need that either.
Apologies if you have included this in your calculations. I only skimmed over them.
But we would potentially need between 2-3 times less energy due to to the efficiency of the electric motor, and that the energy can be stored directly to the batteries.
