Well that’s depressing!
Yes, as far as I am concerned, Gangfeng have already committed to the Bacanora project. Surely they would not commit if they did not have the funds. We are waiting on the Chinese Government signing off the project. Which is taking a frustrating amount of time.
If this failed equity placing (according to lithium ion rocks Howard Rodney, they failed by 1% of the votes to get it away) then an rns would have been released by now.
Somebody is taking advantage anyway, plenty of chunky buys going through.
Time to be brave and buy some more then Mr Cautious!
300,000 share sales have just popped up. All sold within 15 mins of each other. Accounts for the share price tanking.
I would say institutional investors aren’t buying because of the uncertainty around the deal. Once it is signed off, you would hope they would get involved. However, after following the likes if Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, this is not a BCN only problem. There is a woeful amount of investment going into new battery material supply companies (or Junior Miners). It appears to me that they are just not interested in the sector yet.
It is worth noting that the Global x battery fund had been buying until recently, and have over the last month or two just held their position.
I do realise that the 30% of the jv could come up into play sooner as the output increases. But I also keep picturing that scene in the film “A social network”, when Peter Theil asks mark Zuckerberg “who is this Eduardo saffron”! Kdnc been Eduardo Saffron. Saffron was later forced out the company.
I wish investors in kdnc all the luck in the world, and I hope that company lives up to all the hype that so many people got sucked into circa 2015, but as far as bcn’s shareprice is concerned, I will be glad when they have sold the remaining shares.
Hoping for the perfect storm of Gangfeng completely signing off on the deal and the end of Kdnc been a shareholder here.
We should start then to see positive news flow and a higher share price as the project construction starts to get under way. The cherry on the cake would be for the scrapping of the initial 17.5k ton plant and going straight for the 35k ton plant.
Very low volume, but mr 10,000 is back I see. Let’s hope it is just the last few they want to sell.
Certainly a different pattern, last few days they started selling right on the bell.
Onwards and upwards from here.
Yes, it has been mentioned in an rns that a main market listing is on the cards. But I presume that it could be a while off. Looking at sxx over the past 6 months (and in particular the last two days), dont go thinking a main market listing is a guaranteed road to riches. Now there is a good example of how to **** financing up!
They will probably wait until the share price is back at a pound then buy in! And use some creative accounting to spin it as a good deal.
What an amazing opportunity for buying. The share price is been walked down because of an inept company fire selling the last of its shares that our bod don't want anything to do with! You just know its going to bounce back strongly once they are gone. Wish I had some cash left!
Battery metals fund now owns just over 2.2 million shares of BCN. Last time I looked on 11th May they held 1.9 million. So they have been buying.
Lots of 25,10 and 5k share sells gone through again today. Presume a lot of them are kdnc are selling the last of their shares.
But why would they be selling so aggressively ow, when there is the potential for much higher returns in the not to distant future.
I think Something is going on in the background, possibly gangfeng have offered them something for their portion of the JV’s, on condition they sell up their remaining shares. Once that is done, we may start to see some interesting news flow. Thoughts?
I make it roughly 670,000 shares, which is 0.5% of 134,000,000.
It must be around 0.1% either way of 0.5 for them to say roughly half a percent.
So a max of 804,000
Minimum of 536,0000.
As of Fridays closing price of £0.44, I make then still owning around £294,000 worth.
They managed to offload 1% in a month, so hopefully only a couple of weeks and they are gone.
They wont crash the shareprice with that amount, unless they try to offload them all at once. And I don't suppose their broker will do that.
Not sure its anything sinister. Think kdnc are selling the remainder of their shares, keeping the share price suppressed. They can't have many left, but the 20k share sales keep popping up several times a day.
So kdnc have sold another 1% of the company over the last month, or around 1.3 million shares.
I did wonder if all those 10 and 20k share sales were them. It certainly wont have been helping the share price.
They now only own 0.5%, does anybody know if they have to retain some equity in the company with regards the jv’s, or can they sell the lot?
Either way, they are about out, then there does not appear to be anything else to hold this share price down.
Exciting times, looking very much forward to some newsflow now the Chinese government have signed off on the deal. Looks like its just over to Gangfeng to go through the motions and we are off to the races.
What self imposed deadline? I would hate to be the ceo of an aim company, having to deal with whining pi’s!
He has given a expected timeframe for the Chinese government to sign the deal. What did you want him to say? We wait the deal been signed by the Chinese government?
How long will that take? 1 day, or 1 year.
There is no deadline, and I dont suppose even the most powerful ceo has much sway over a matter like this. It will get sorted when it gets sorted. Meanwhile, whilst this formality gets out the way, I am quite sure Gangfeng are already doing their preliminary inspections on how to make Bacanora a producing mine.
It is weird mr Cautious. The report from benchmark that Barksy posted on kdnc really summed it all up. Everything really got ahead of itself in 2016, followed by mass ramp up of spodumene, followed by that Morgan Stanley report.
Investors seem to have left the party before it has even got started.
The spring is surely just coiling ever tighter though.
But I imagine sheer boredom is driving some of these sells.
Still hoping for confirmation coming by close tomorrow. They didn’t let us down last time, but remember we are dealing with a government now! I don’t suppose they will be in any rush.
But I am with you. In for the long haul, but very much looking forward to some exciting RNS’s. Hopefully stating that construction costs are to be significantly reduced, and production rates are going to be significantly increased.
Scratch that. Didnt realise they had moved bid up to 47. All good!
