It's very odd. I expect IC will promote it this week and price will go up, ST was saying he thought it's worth 35p wasn't he? So odd it's dropping after good update, although all metals are being smashed.

All metals seem to be selling, platinum, gold, etc.

I had a weird dream last night that I slept in on day of results and by the time I got up the shares were at 71p. They had been at 89p but I missed that.

I doubt it's a premonition but we live in hope!

£2 would make it a £5 billion company. I somehow don't see it getting to that. I hope it does, but £1 maybe £1.20 if the speculators jump on board at some point.

Looking at the insanity of politicians and the fools managing the monetary policies in the West, I think gold is going way over $2K and won't look back for quite some time.

Why is gold and silver up so much today vs previous 30 days? Something about to hit the wider economic fan?

I think the US release the PPI data today - that could put the cat further among the pigeons... Should be another interesting day on Wall Street.

I was going to mention him being a bit conspiratorial, that aside it doesn't invalidate the shipping/supply line or agricultural data which comes from industry publications. His interpretation of "why" might be wrong, but the data itself is the data and the state of play.

It's not temporary, there are shipping backlogs and agricultural shortages and a whole host of other issues coming behind this that people can't see. I know you might think this is just some guy on you tube, but he is really, really switched on and is involved in farming and etc, his content is incredibly well researched and backed up with facts. Ice Age Farmer - watch his last video, 50 minutes long but the best 50 minutes you'll ever invest in anything, the supply issues, shortages of everything - meat, grain, - everything is going to hit like a tsunami - inflation will rocket from here within probably 4 to 8 weeks.

US CPI horrendous rought 3x what was expected, their inflation is running at c.4.2% (and that's probab;y an underestimate). Metals and commoddities likely to start a long bull run - IMHO.

I can't remember the exact numbers, but for the EU alone to meet it's green energy requirements it would need 1300% of the annual global cobalt production, and hundreds of percent of other metals annual global production. Add in the rest of the world and if they make this political objective then metals are going to be in serious demand and prices should rocket. Makes me wonder what politicians are thinking really. You can't magic up say 30 to 50 times annual global production of various metals just because you have a policy to do it.

Great call welloil. As mentioned already the US market took a battering yesterday and it might get flattened today. I've been predicting it for a while, how they can say there is no inflation problem with lumber etc up 200%+ is staggering, especially if you then look at the FED chart for M1 money supply (which they are now no longer reporting for the first time ever) - from 4 trillion to over 18 trillion in 12 months. Maybe that's why lumber prices are up, they need it all to print more money LoL.

What happened there? Shot up to 21.9???

Thanks, I was thinking about ETFs bought one for commodities recently (Invesco) but it's covering oil, livestock, energy etc as well as gold. I'll take a look thank you.

Having just really started getting more into metals (and I know some of you guys have been into metals for a long time) I'd like to get some exposure to precious metals. Been looking at sylvania platinum, would anyone be kind enough to mention some gold producers so I can go take a look please? Or other ways to get into gold/etc which doesn't involve buying coins or bars. Thanks.
