I'm still of the opinion that another order from SpaceX or some other satellite company will reignite the SP upwards.

When such news might appear is anyone's guess, and in the meantime the SP could do anything.

I sold enough at £4.70 to get back my entire initial stake and a small profit for exactly this reason, so I can sit on what's left and see where it ends up.

Still stings though to see so much of a drop in value from the high.

Well, I've been umming and ahhing about whether to buy in (yet) but since there's been 3 directors buys I've also bought at 205.

Surely there has to be a minimum of 20-30% upside here?

after a bit of a pullback and quite a bit of panicking and fear mongering from various quarters, it looks like the Livermore Speculation Chart might just have some merit.

I believe any bit of news here - and surely some must be coming soon - and this thing is going to take off like people won't believe.

I don't believe there is anyone else who can produce what Filtronic do, and certainly no one who can produce at scale like Filtronic can.

If an announcement was made of that nature, I think the share price would double on the news.

Space fever is highly contagious.

They do not make "pcb's etc," the "bits" they make are significantly more complex than a circuit board.

At least learn something before commenting.

I posited the idea that the Dixons or Newlands might have flooded the market yesterday since the price action doesn't seem to match what we can see.

So, I have said from the beginning that I believe the whole space thing is going to turn into a giant speculative bubble, and I just happened to come across Livermores Speculation Chart.

Being a bit of a fan of Jesse Livermore and his incredible story his speculation chart stuck out to me, and looking at the 3 prongs/mouth/channel with the higher highers and higher lows, FTC looks to be conforming to it.

The other indicators also include increased volume, and...

...the share price detaching from what the buys and sells are suggesting should happen.

i.e. more buys than sells and the price can go down, and vice versa.

Quite why that might happen I don't know, but there must be some underlying mechanism that causes it.

I think FTC ticks pretty much all those boxes, and for me, as I've said before, this just feels like history repeating in almost the exact same way as when I worked there 30 years ago.

So I *think* there's going to be a massive spike up, but... I could be totally wrong.

yes I sold 40% because I know that while I'm convinced in what's going to happen, I may also be totally wrong in how this plays out.

By selling the shares yesterday I have my entire stake back plus a decent profit, so I can now relax a bit and leave the remainder to see how this plays out.

I believe the price may drop a little more tomorrow, then it's going to break out upwards - a LOT.

I may be completely wrong, but I'm basing this on the Livermore Speculative Chart - I think FTC are falling into the widening mouth/accumulation phase.

I've been convinced for months that the SP will ratchet up to crazy levels, the current situation and events ticks all the boxes of a classic asset bubble (for the entire space market, not just FTC) - so lets see what happens next week.

If nothing else it's definitely entertaining.

It seems to be on it's way back up again now.

I did sell 4290 shares this morning, about 40% of my holding, then kicked myself for folding.

Wish I'd sold them all now, could have bought back in lower :D hahaha, it's only money.

Does the drop in SP have something to do with some news I can't see, or do you think the Newlands are disposing of a few million more shares?

Agray, We've discussed it multiple times on here - the fundamentals don't matter in the short term, the share price is in the short term going to be all about space fever, Musk, and hype, and it's going to get driven up to crazy levels.

That is what most of us are here for, we're well aware the price isn't going to be backed up by revenue, all I'm aiming to do is watch the price go to silly numbers, then sell when I feel the time is right.

FTC don't need to ramp up production so revenue matches the share price, what's inevitably going to happen is demand for the stock is going to far outstrip supply, the price will respond accordingly, then when people tire of the excitement the share price will adjust to match the revenue, not the other way round.

No one is under any illusion here about the value of the company.

Agray, I don't think you're getting what I'm saying - it's not like producing a chip, where anyone can step in and make something else as an alternative, it's so complex there's very few who can produce the component parts, and then there's the knowledge to apply it too, it's a completely different proposition to normal electronics, there is no-one who can step in and replace 50 years of know-how with a new design of chip.

The difference in technology is like comparing a company who make Cesnas or other propeller-driven aircraft, and another that makes 5th generation fighter jets. You can't just go from propellers to designing something better than the cutting edge jet technology and off you go and take the market.

The knowledge gap is gigantic.

Well the new plant allows for pretty much volume production (in this industry, working with products at these kinds of super high frequencies, volume is pretty much something that's never been done, if we could produce 20 units per month, that was a volume project), and the simple fact is - there is no-one else out there who can produce these modules.

It's not like going round electronics companies, trying to find out who can stick a few resistors, capacitors, and transistors onto a PCB for the lowest price - this is so niche and so technical-know-how dependent, there are literally no other places to go to who can make it.

The highest frequency product I ever worked on was maybe 40-60GHz, and when you get to those kinds of frequencies it's more like black magic and witchcraft than engineering, even the thickness of the track on the circuit, and the lid being a fraction of a mm out will throw the performance of the whole thing out of whack.

I'm just praying there's some kind of satellite related contract news with anyone soon, I think that'll really kick it off.

OTC is at the equivalent of 474.

I predicted £8 quid by end of year about a month ago when SP was about £2odd.

I still think this has a long way to go, especially is a chunky order comes through. The last SpaceX order was August 2025, so there might well be one before too long.
