Sonic. That in my book is an admission of guilt on your behalf. What you have just said in reality is I will continue trying to rubbish the Kibo SP until I get an apology then I might change my mind. I am sure everyone else will see it that way also. I have tried to be supportive however, You will be better off sticking with like minded individuals on ADVN at least you might get some support there. As for myself your last post sums you up completely and I cannot be bothered having dialogue with such a small minded, childish and immature individual. That’s the last you will hear from me.
Surely you need to give it just one more go. A winner and a second is not a bad record and it gives a bit of light hearted diversion. Just like buying shares, we don’t have to back it but I just might. Just like Kibo, I have a good feeling about the next one.
I am aware there was a bit of a fall out on the Twitter group but I am not certain I know what caused the problem. As I stated earlier, over the past few years I have valued your comments which were often well researched and evidence based. Recently however, your posts are all based on personal speculation and you provide little in the way of any evidence. I cannot see the rationale in hitting out on this board for something that happened elsewhere. I am sure you are alienating a lot of people on this board who feel the same way as I do. Is it not better to try and resolve the problem where it originated. You never know, you might be surprised at how readily those you are in conflict with are ready to bury the hatchet. Lets face it there is absolutely no reason for any hostility as we are all here for the same reason.
If I thought that Sonic in particular was struggling in some way I would be very understanding and indeed sympathetic to his situation as I have valued his opinion, both positive and negative, on this board. However, he appears to be of the same mindset as Jax/Global/Lurker who simply wait for every opportunity to post gloom and doom and never anything positive. So it comes across as these have an agenda to bash this share whenever they can. Sonic seems to have joined this group.
Nice one JDW. Showing some great belief and I truly hope your decision is massively rewarded.
Sonic, your advice to have a look at the records is good self advice. Can I suggest you revisit the numerous posts you have made over the past few weeks. Surely you can see why people are believing you might have a problem. This is much more than you simply wanting to express an opinion or provide information for discussion. You seem to be on a crusade and your not going to get the result you desire from being constantly on this board. Whether you are still invested or not, I believe you still have a lot to give but you need to look at a bit of balance. Hope all works out ok for you..
I think e mailing the sponsors of Tz investment could be a good idea if things go tits up, however, can I suggest we wait for LC to provide an update as to the latest position before we do anything. It is always good to be in possession of the facts before making decisions.
It is a complete waste of time trying to speculate what is going on with our business ventures in Tanzania at the moment. If I tried, I could sit here and come up with 50 different scenarios which would all be speculation and could still be way off the mark. So best to wait for LC to get the facts and bring us up to speed. I expect not only an update on the tender farce but also an update on all of our interests in Tanzania. He might as well be upfront with shareholders as even the worst case scenario in Tz is hardly going to affect the SP given where we are at the moment..
Foxy. Like everyone I have absolutely no idea what is going on really. Is it incompetence or is it political wranglings. I know what the Energy Masterplan states however, can you believe anything that comes out of Tz these days? That is why we need a full update on our business strategy in this country from the BoD. The points that were offered earlier regarding the Chinese could be equally valid. Who knows?
is absolutely a waste of time as I am not sure Tz actually have a plan for the provision of electricity. The last RNS stated we " did not qualify to compete in the next stage of the bidding process" as if to indicate the tender was still alive. However, it now looks as if no company will now be selected to compete in any next stage. So all we can do is wait for LC to inform us exactly what is going on with a) this tender b) the MCPP and PPA and c) the SML.
My gut feeling is that the decision not to accept our tender submission will impact on our total business case in Tz. Come on LC let us have a thorough, comprehensive, honest and concise update as soon as possible. This is not the time for piecemeal information
If the tenders were nullified because the Tz Govt have decided to pull out of coal altogether then they are going to look even more foolish given the location and amount that has been spent on the interconnectors. We know that hydropower has been estimated ( by experts ) to be at least 9 years away and at a cost more than twice the current estimated costs by the government. I suppose the government and Tanesco are not that bothered about looking stupid given the fact this is now the second time this particular tender has been incomplete.
I am intrigued to see what LC has been told and we should all know the truth of the matter very soon.
The more I think about it, announcements about the results of any significant tender contract always focuses on the positive outcomes and the winners of the contracts. Those who miss out get a mention sometime down the line. In this case, the focus has been on the 2 companies that were not successful. Why would this be the case if there was not a bit more behind the decision. Something smells iffy.
