Ddraig. 88E will never have the funds to drill and produce oil on a commercial basis. They are purely into oil exploration. I absolutely agree it would be brilliant if we could prove our oil find was commercially viable and it would indeed add to the value of our stock, but somewhere along the road 88E will sell. It will then be up to each individual to invest in the new company if you ever want to see the kind of returns you are referring to.

I fully concur with the sentiment in Cenkman's post. We private investors do not know what is going on behind the scenes so in the true sense, if we are holding on to our shares in favour of a potential buyout, we are gambling rather than investing. However, even in gambling mode it is useful if the odds are a little bit in your favour. As an exploration company, we currently have an identified oil find, we have significant oil finds in fields adjacent to our own and it appears our CEO is being replaced by a " finance expert" . We also have an oil producer operating in the vicinity. So in my opinion and purely on a self centred strategy it is worth holding on to my tickets. I know a buyout is not goingto change my own life style but I think it would give me a return greater than the value of the SP we have attained to date. In saying that, the United States dimension does indeed add to our strengths going forward and if a buyout is not forthcoming, we go into 2022 in a much stronger position than we did this year. So with a little patience and a bit of the old luck, we still might see a decent return on our investment/gamble. GLA.
I have not posted on this board before but have been a member since 2014. I have been in 88E for about 2 years but not a massive number of tickets. Like most 88E board members, I have read all of the posts over the past 2 week roller coaster and was not too surprised when we did not get a definitive result last week. Even though I was in positive territory prior to the last RNS I have held on to my tickets for one reason only. The current circumstances at management level, together with the fact we do have results that indicate significant quantities of oil in place leads me to believe the time is ripe for this company to be sold. I cannot remember the name of the board member who posted the information that Dave Wall's repacement is an accountant. We are undoubtedly an exploration company not a producer. Given these facts, and nothing else other than a strong gut feel, it has convinced me to retain all of my tickets. If it gets a buyer then it is happy days. If not, there is always next year. GLA.
Like many others, I got drawn into this share 5 years ago at a time when it was very possible to look at all of the circumstances that existed at that time and come to the conclusion Kibo was well worth a punt. Unfortunately, like many others, I invested heavily at a price that still sees my average at circa 5p. I accept that a number of things took place to significantly affect the longer term strategy and these were outside of the boards control. However, If you look at all of the misleading broken promises, missed deadlines etc since then, you will see LC no longer has much in the way of credibility. Any future success will not be the result of good management.
Coal Endures as World’s Favorite Fuel for Electricity Generation.
Just read a really interesting article on the positive future of coal. Find it on Energy Now Media ( Bloomberg ) and was published 17th December 2019. Worth a look.
Hi Gillie. Just got back from doing the same itinerary as yourself about 6 weeks ago. Great trip.. Vancouver Island was the pick for me. Great vibe and so clean. Vancouver is going to have an absolutely immense drugs problem in the coming decade, if Hastings Street is anything to go by. The overspill from that area is already starting to have an impact on the nicer tourist areas of Vancouver and I fail to see how providing " sharps" boxes in the cities toilets is a sensible way forward.
Vegas is a great way to finish off any vacation. Absolutely unique and the good thing is you have investd so much of your money in Kibo you have not a lot to lose in the casinos. Enjoy and travel safely.
Never posted anything for quite a while as there was nothing I could say that had not already been said. However, the issue of the 7 mining licences has in my opinion greatly enhanced the possibility of this project coming to fruition, even though I am fully aware of the problems that still need to be overcome. I still have every one of the shares I bought in 2014/15/16 at an average of 5p and against my better judgement added another 105,000 yesterday morning. I do feel however I will at least make a profit on the money I invested yesterday. The SP back then was 5-6p on much less potential than we have now so as Gillie keeps reminding us, our patience might just produce a positive result. GLA to all of the long term posters who have kept the faith and continued posting.
I bought into this back in 2013 when the project simply had good "potential." Those shares cost me near to 1 pence . I still have them now at a tenth of its value. The project has advanced considerably but the number of shares in circulation are considerably more than back in 2013.
The main goal bck then was the CTP ,. it was never really envisaged that EDL would become a mining company as the big bucks were, and still are, in power generation. EDL only need the same prompt as that given to Kibo and I could still actually make a profit. Waited this long so might as well see it through. Nice to see some interest, activity and further "potential". GLA.
Is an immature jerk off who probably has no friends or any money to invest. He simply craves attention by hanging around this board constantly looking for the opportunity to post something negative. As SYM has said, if he has cashed in his sixpence worth, why is he still hanging around this board trying to talk down the share price. Its because he is exactly what I stated in my opening sentence and the administrators should have sufficient evidence to ban him. The board will be a better place without him as he contributes NADA.
It is heartening to see this company still has a great potential to deliver a profit for long term holders. I need to get to 5.5p before I break even however, I am still quietly confident I will eventually see a profit from my investment. delivery on one of our projects will do it so who knows how high it will go should we be successful on more than one. We just need a catalyst to kick start the company and the next few weeks should be definitive. GLA.
Seems absolute financial common sense to me. Sepco obviously waiting to see the satisfactory contractual completion of one of our major projects before piling in. However, as soon as one of our projects is up and running, I have no doubt at all they will provide the investment necessary.
that the project in Moz is progressing at a much greater pace than the MCPP did in Tz. The money we spent developing the processes and structures needed for the MCPP will undoubtedly be directly transferable to both the Moz and Botswana projects. It should therefore stand to reason that the costs should be nowhere needed to those required when starting from an open canvas. The RNS this morning generates a bit of enthusiasm that all is not lost and indeed could be the trigger for greater things.

Could be the biggest waste of time ever, if the outcome of the previous one is anything to go by. Should be all over by lunchtime. Lol
Morning Sonic. I hope the short break from posting has refreshed you and given you a truly balanced perspective. I am aware you feel a bit hurt by some recent comments but I am sure if you reflect on the past few days you will realise it is predominately down to a difference of opinion rather than anything personal. I am happy to apologise if anything I have said has been taken the wrong way as no insult was ever intended. So hopefully we can indeed have a happy weekend and a better week for all Kibo investors next week.
