I'm not saying that there is another party that will make a bid, just that there is steady institutional buying and that when Lombard offloaded 2.5% three weeks ago it was to another institution. I expect more TR1s, although I note that previous notifications have generally been when 5% has been breached.

At the moment there is a willing buyer for all traded shares, with some largish block buys in recent days. The larger trades today were peanuts really in the greater scheme of things, but the overall volume suggests that the buying activity continues.

That's not what happened Mike. Lombard sold two large chunks of their holding in one go to another interested party(s). The two trades, equal to 2.5% of the company were clear to see. I've not posted today, but I didn't see anyone talking the share price down - just a recognition of the potentially interesting picture behind the trades.

Very likely to be a buy. Nice amount, albeit only about 0.25% of company. Add it to yesterday's though, and the smaller buys that are coming through, almost certainly further stake building in play.

Meanwhile, back on subject, day high about to be taken out.

To be fair, Mq's GENL tip would have netted about 10%, but she/he backed the wrong horse. I guess it takes a certain type of person to try to dupe PIs into selling, but it was always the IIs that would control the destiny of this share.

Called it a couple of days early, but having a go at 35/36 again. Looks strong, whether it breaks depend on Lombard.

Still a very strong bid, and offer is slightly below it now.

They did! In Feb and March, and at levels higher than this. More buys would be great, but no reason why we should expect them.

Looks like 35p is going to be tested again today. Looks like there is some strength building up behind this move, although more volume needed.

It's all in the trading update of 28 Feb. A few IIs sold out and others bought in. Most commentators believe the drop was overdone, but make you own mind up.

Good buy at the end of the day's trading. Looks like the price is still being manipulated though.

Look at the share numbers. They have transferred exactly 2.5m, which is the matched trade we saw on Friday. People selling on that is unbelievable.

As you know I'm very positive on this but I'm not sure we'll see a TR1 tomorrow, nor that the matched trades were necessarily Lombard, but we'll see. To be honest it all got a bit frothy yesterday. I'll be happy to see a more measured rise.

They are presumably positioning themselves in the expectation that there will be either a recovery or a takeover, like we all are I expect. The difference being I suppose that they now have the holding to help facilitate it.

It is definitely in their interest to stay low whilst they are accumulating, but either way, with patience, it should be a win win from here.

They are accumulating at a fair rate now, and declaring as they go. Wonder what their plan is?

Turns out that I called it right. Funny that they have notified at 11%, given that they didn't at 6, 7, 8 or 9. Have I missed something?

The other missing info is where their buys are. Yes there have been plenty of trades at around the mid point which could account for them, but they were matched trades in the main, and I wouldn't have thought there have been 6M or so. Could this accumulation have taken place away from the exchange? Is that even possible? Are Lombard hoovering up shares from institutions that have smaller positions?

Could the next stage be one or other of the existing institutions starting to buy from Mms in the normal way, which would no doubt break the resistance and trigger PI buy in?

Excuse my ignorance, just trying to make sense of it all.
