RE: Lufkin sentence4 Feb 2021 13:44
Poker, that's correct. So where would the public interest be in prosecuting and crippling a firm where all the old personnel had gone and been replaced with new personnel who are squeaky clean and following good corporate practices??
I simply don't see a problem here! The SFO aren't stupid, they will recognise the huge efforts made by PFC not only in helping with the investigation but also putting into place proper procedures and training. They've already got their man - Lufkin - and I think case will be closed with perhaps a token fine to cover case costs. Say £25 mill.
