I think 1 or 2 is possible.

The 3rd option is very unlikely as the Slovenia gov have already started making changes to the permits, type of fracking, NGO restrictions etc..

I also think a 4th option (long shot) might be possible where we get a good payout like 40m and permits too with Slovenian gov agreement for us to pay back 20m after 3-5 years.

Yes and that costs time and money too. Wait 3 years just to hear you won or lost with some compensation? Sometimes you have to take a deal even if it’s crap just to survive. This obviously benefits the board not the shareholder!

Guys I have also posted only on AST being my only oil/gas play. There is a possibility that no compensation being offered. Instead just permits and extension of concession in this case expect a placing. Question is how hard will current board push for the right level of gain for the company/ shareholders. Time will tell. I hope for at least 10 to 20m in payment.. AIMHO

Not sure why we need to wait for ballot results. If the left wins majority does that mean starting the negotiations again, I dont think so. Surly some progress has been made thus far and its no going back.

AST in my opinion will get back the asset and renewed concession which is going to end 2022 with some cash iA. Or nothing as worth case scenario but seems very unlikely now. IMHO

Craig - I feel for you and all LTH including me. The reality is Slovenia has put up hurdles after hurdles and didn’t want any kind of fracking (even AST low level) in their country. This matter was made clear on recent parliamentary vote on banning fracking. Something like 41 to 39. Not to mention more negative press on AST when these results were released. As for TANGO I don’t like his post as he clearly has an alternative motive. His recent post got taken down by LSE as he clearly mentioned he has inside information. I’m sure he got a warning too. Seeing how close the votes have gone. I don't think it wise for Ast to demand permits and extension. It's best to demand compensation and get the hell out of Slovenia.
From past experience we know they waste too much time in dealing with permit issues and new legislation willl make it even more difficult and time consuming. Not to mention it's a clear split within the gov. Most don't even know what type of fracking Ast plans to do. Clueless to the highest level. Yeah take the money...!

The votes clearly show the tide can turn at anytime to harm any foreign investor in similar situation. It's just too risky now. Take the money and begone!
