I've been watching this Co since the article in the sunday papers a few months ago. Been wanting to get in & I think this presents an ideal opportunity. I'm betting on this flap blowing over in a few days & the SP steadily climbing back to near previous levels. Good luck all.

INSIDE LEG: What is going on with Wellstream? 25 March, 2010 07:35:00 AM In a struggle to explain yesterday's move, the Daily Mail notes renewed talk of a bid from Eni at 800p per share, while the FT notes rehashed chatter of Saipem interest and the Telegraph cites ‘brokers' as saying there is a large short position in the stock.
Maybe not...a late spurt maybe??!
Indeed...first time it hit 640p it bounced right back to 630p...may do so again. Could be a real buttock clencher this one.... Cheers
Just gone past the day high again... Sell 639.5p as at 15:58.03 Buy 641p
Not surprised...HLO started to rebound yesterday & looked like they that might carry on today. Still a brave call on your part mate...congrats. WSM looks like it may run for a while, see my post last Thurs with potential t/o at 800p. It really got into a frenzy an hour ago but has settled down again now. I'm waiting for 700p & then see what happens next. T/O rumours can disappear as fast as they appear of course. Cheers
Just spiked to 640p...looks like something is definitely brewing .....
Can't believe this board is dead with such recent & potential future growth in this SP.... I posted the t/o rumour at 569p... it's now 609p with, I expect, more to come. Worth researching this company if you are browsing boards. Cheers
BROKER CALL: Portmerion deal of the decade 24 March, 2010 07:19:03 AM Seymour Pierce says buy up to 400p and adds: 'Portmeirion has had an outstanding year following the acquisition of Spode and Royal Worcester (SRW), which has completely transformed the business despite a difficult economic backdrop. With the potential for earnings upgrades, the stock valued at 10.7x 2010 forecast earnings is undervalued with a yield approaching 5%.'
INSIDE LEG: Wellstream bid on the way? 18 March, 2010 08:32:51 AM The Daily Mail notes growing speculation of an £8 a share approach from ENI. Points out that Wellstream controls about 30% of the world's offshore flexible pipe market and is one of two global pipe manufacturers that has a long-standing relationship with Petrobas. Says ENI has been 'sniffing around for a while' and must now be keen on tying up a deal considering Wellstream shares are trading around 23% below the year's peak. The FT notes a revival of talk that Petrobras might be interested in bidding, while the Independent names Saipem as the rumoured suitor.

INSTANT ANALYSIS:Arden upgrades Cookson to Buy 2 March, 2010 08:31:53 AM Arden Partners has raised its rating in Cookson to Buy from Neutral after its full year figures came in just ahead of expectations and net debt showed a better than expected reduction. The broker said a sector rating of 12-13x would suggest a 500p short term price target though its does have some concern over working capital reversal as end markets pick up.
Whose going to invest in this co with a ticker like that!??

I think you are missing something old chap... the board of this company are cretins & they do not have the good sense to appoint a PR agent. They leave it to local people like Chandley to find out about their business successes & publish links to local newspapers rather than prep a RNS with +ive info. Thier duty is to shareholders & to shareholder value & they are not doing their job...hence my conclusion they are cretins. Cheers to all fellow s/hs!!!
