Officer A driven, goal-orientated Chief Executive Director and skilled explorationist with over fifteen years of oil and gas experience in Africa, which includes three years experience in the helium sector. Successfully led Helium One Global Ltd through its Phase II Drilling programme in the Rukwa Basin and delivered the first successful helium well test in Tanzania, which flowed 4.7% helium to surface from the Itumbula West-1 well in February 2024. Transitioned Helium One Global Ltd to a leading operator through the acquisition of the Company’s onshore drilling rig that will accelerate and streamline Company’s drilling programme and development of Tanzania’s helium sector. Prior to joining Helium One, Lorna previously held a number of Senior Geologist roles with Delonex Energy Ltd, African Petroleum Corp Ltd and Tullow Oil plc, and has led successful exploration drilling campaigns in East and Central Africa, through extensive geological knowledge of the East Africa Rift System.

Helium One is looking for a Rig Manager for its operations in Tanzania. The Rig Manager will play a pivotal role in company and will be the primary point of contact for all rig operations. You should have experience in:

Land rig operations, preferably in remote locations.

Leading and working in multinational teams.

Have a strong HSE ethos and the ability to build a HSE culture.

Leading and managing all rig based operations.

Ensuring the equipment integrity is maintained on the rig.

The role will utilise a hybrid model, with some work at your home location and then onsite during operational periods.
